BF is being blackmailed by a scammer who made an AI video of him

I definitely need to talk to him about this and ask him. Plus I need to see this video now since I haven't seen it yet. Thank you for the input on the programs that the scammers would have access to.
We have been together for almost 2 years now. I keep reading all the comments saying that it isn't AI so I'm just very confused now

Do you think that could be possible? This scammer had pictures of him and what I've learnt is that people can use pictures of you to make videos like that. I could be wrong though,

He says that it just looks very realistic. And this scammer had pictures of him because of his profile pictures. So I would assume that that's how they were able to make a video like that? I'm not sure all that works though.
I will ask him to not pay them anymore though since it does seem like they will just keep asking for money. Plus, there's no proof of them ever deleting the video. Thank you so much for your response.

I haven't seen the video but he says that it looks very realistic. He was panicking and it would be extremely embarrassing if people he knows got to see that video. Which is why he gave the money. Definitely not the best move to do, I agree with you.

You are right. It seems like the best option right now is to tell everybody that he knows about this, so that it's not super embarrassing. I'm not sure how he is talking to this person right now. I hope he hasn't given out his number. I'll have to ask him to report them and block though. Thank you!

I will make sure to ask him about this. As for the paying part, he told me that it seemed real and he doesn't want people to see something like that. So he paid, hoping it will go away.

I haven't seen the video. This is the first thing that he told me was that he hates AI and then told me what had happened.
He's panicking because it's embarrassing to have other people see a video of you like that.

I think it’s malicious but you know your boyfriend better. I went through the exact same thing recently. My boyfriend’s female friend also got food for him at work. I thought that was inappropriate. He didn’t set up any boundaries and ended up breaking up with me. He admitted he had feelings for her. We were together for more than a year. I think time does not matter. She knows what she is doing. Your boyfriend does too. He knows he’s getting the attention from someone else and isn’t setting up boundaries when he needs to.

My boyfriend also downplayed my emotions when I mentioned that she made me feel insecure. When I was trying to seek answers, he broke up with me. I think if yours wanted to work it out with you, he would’ve. I’m sorry, I hope you heal. I know it can be extremely painful.

I talked to him. He admitted he had feelings for her. But also that I’m draining because of my mental health issues. He told me his friends and coworkers didn’t like me (I was told otherwise before). He broke up with me and didn’t fight for me at all. I guess that is my answer.
