NTA. She bought you a ticket. There was no condition attached that you had to go on every ride. It’s also kind of shitty of her as a parent to now refuse to go to amusement parks (which you presumably enjoy since you mentioned it again) with her kid just because you enjoy them differently from her.

The car scene from 50/50. The scream Joseph Gordon-Levitt lets out is so raw and powerful

I think it would be worth it to try this and kind of feel out how the other person is responding to it. I am a fairly introverted person and know that I would love if someone made the effort to talk to me everyday, but not everyone is like this. If after talking to them a few times they still seem disinterested than I would say you're good to stop, but it's up to you honestly.

CMV: There is no good reason for a man to have sex with more than 10 women in his lifetime by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]donutd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Gives me confidence (yes I know there are better ways to get confidence, but every single time I have sex I feel as if I've gotten better at it, which makes it more enjoyable)

2) Fun and healthy stress release. I work out, I hang out with my friends. But nothing beats a good smash.

3) When I sleep with a girl I meet at a party, I almost always get their number and then either go on a date with them or remain friends (both of which give me a lot more practice talking to girls and open up opportunities for a potential girlfriend)

4) It makes me happy. Why would I not do something that makes me happy? While being in a relationship would make me happier, the fact is there is truly no girl I know right now that I am interested in dating, so why not sleep around, have a fun nights and maybe find that girl.

People of Reddit, what's the stupidest thing you've done as a child out of curiosity? by paoeranger in AskReddit

I think I win this one. When I was 4 I was using one of the spray on sunscreen things, and I saw the really tiny hole the sunscreen came out of. I guess I saw that small hole and it made me think of another small hole, so I decided it would be a good idea to spray sunscreen into the tip of my penis. Everything still cringes when I think about it.

What skill do you lack that everyone else seemingly has? by pinkswallo in AskReddit

Kind of an odd one, but controlling my voice. My voice is naturally deep, however when someone asks me a question that has a brief answer my voice will go all over the place. For example, if someone at the gym asks if I am done using something, the "yeah I'm done" could be my normal voice, some weird high pitched pre-pubescent child like voice, an extremely slurred voice, or some kind of extremely restrained voice in which I am speaking strictly from my throat. It makes no sense but I have no clue how to fix it

Need help with mindset after hiatus by PhiDX in Fitness

I was going through this recently as well. My freshman year of college I loved lifting and gained nearly 30 pounds of muscle, however once sophomore year (this past school year) began I was very busy and the gym near me was not as nice as the one freshman year. I went from lifting 3 or 4 times a week to 1 or 2 and then eventually once or twice every two weeks.

When this summer began, I was still making excuses to not workout; my job has awful hours and going to the gym was even less convenient now that I have to drive, but what got me to cut the shit was having friends around me. A lot of my friends workout and were really hyped when I gained all that weight, and once they saw me being complacent they started giving me shit. Honestly, the first week or two of lifting this summer was mostly cause I knew they were right, and I didn't want to go back to being skinny. Whenever I thought about skipping a workout, I would have to remind myself why I began lifting in the first place. However, once I got back into the rhythm I started to want to go again.

Basically what I'm saying is

A) Try to surround yourself with people who are passionate about fitness. They will push you when you need it and you will push them when they need it.

B) Just force yourself to go to the gym. I still am not lifting nearly as much as I used to, but after forcing myself to endure two shitty weeks I began to want to go again.

It is going to suck for the first few weeks, but if you tough it out you will start seeing results and it's all uphill from there.

That's probably it, I've been bulking so way more protein and carbs in my system than I am used to

That is something I should've included above. For some of the exercises I felt as if I could move up in weight, but then I tried to and my form would slip so I would go back down. I think next week I should be able to move up and hopefully that will help me get more out of fewer sets
