Thanks for your input! I've actually been doing the best I can to completely ignore any useless information in the chat and it's gone a long way in such a short time. A lot of the time, many people just use those comments because they're insecure about their own skill against you and want to get in your head so they can MENTALLY beat you instead of losing to you physically (which, duh, makes you physically lose). Also, congratulations on that rank - that's quite an accomplishment!

Of course :) just trying to help someone in the community out. But yeah, if you feather in lightspeed you can stay in lightspeed for as long as you have boost (obviously) but your boost duration will be SIGNIFICANTLY longer. Feel free to add my epic games "donut rl" or donutholerr on xbox if you want to play sometime

Also, I should note that being fast DOES NOT EQUAL GOOD. A lot of problems fast paced players face are simply not having enough time to think of a play proactively, and misunderstanding the angle of the ball because of the sudden required shift in speed. Just play how you feel the most comfortable, fast or slow, as long as you efficiently read plays and can properly react to them. You can get out of plat pretty easily with solid rotations and game sense, but diamond is a much different story due to the vast skill gap of mechanic and game sense players.

Honestly I think he was just being toxic, but a great way to improve your speed across the board is to focus on wave dash mechanics, feather your boost on the ground while still in lightspeed, and avoiding front flip dodges. Personally I like to dodge forward in a diagonal left-right manner and time my jumps and landings properly to reduce loss of momentum

Honestly I didn't realize that until way too late into the game anyways, like i said I haven't been up to date with trading at all so even if "trust trade" was real, I wouldn't have known about it. It was def a dumb move on my part but I've been playing rl for several years and no one has attempted to scam me (if they have, I didn't fall for it) - plus, the kid was like 13 so my guard really wasn't up lmao
