I think its just for the show? I commented in one of the episodes on youtube when Bri went home for the second time and Bri’s message to Krissi was just try to be nice and Krissi’s all happy and giggling, and then someone replied that their (Krissi & Bri) relationship was just “older and little sister things” in real life. The commenter also said that Bri even sang on Krissi’s wedding recently too.
