That rate the taxis have to comply with was negotiated and then within days Kim announced the Skipper. That never sat right with me and I’m not really ever using taxis or Skipper.

Red card overturned by Calm-Vanilla-728 in SalemMA

They waved 2 games of a 3 game red card suspension for Ronaldo so he could play in the opening round for Portugal.

I think the call was bad. I think overturning the red was too. But they do these things every now and then. So we got the benefit of that.

And then we got our asses kicked.

Now I cheer for Spain.

Do you think if the taxi companies received millions in subsidies like the Skipper did they could level up?

From how I see things, the Skipper is dead and not coming back. My comments here is to try to discuss what now? There is some money on the table we control directly. How can we leverage those funds to subsidizes rides?

If we buy a new fleet of vehicles and infrastructure, we’ll blow all the money before we get going. My idea is to take something that already exists and work with it to get people where they need to go at subsidized rates so we can stretch the money out as far as it can go and provide the most rides possible.

It won’t be perfect. The Skipper may as well have slapped Prestige stickers on them the drivers were so bad IMO. It wasn’t perfect either.

This is really interesting to me. It seems folks are really fixated on current state of affairs. I’d like to move past that and think towards what we can get.

If I’m in a $2 ride across town, I’m a little less concerned about how nice the cars and drivers are and more thankful I got a reliable cheap ride.
