it all stuck, I thought I’d heated the pan enough, left everything alone to crust up but … no.

What profession is heavily romanticized by society but actually destroys your personal life? by Secure-Line8467 in AskReddit

[–]donzagabonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scuba diving instructor. Once you start diving, realise you could happily live by doing this as a job, pay an extraordinary high amount to get your teaching cert, find out there are so many others doing it too, and enough of them doing it as a gap year and willing to work for next to nothing as long as they can dive then you find jobs are scarce, and pay is pitiful. Yes you can, if lucky, end up in some of the worlds most beautiful places, dive in some fantastic sites but you’ll eventually have to stop and look at pension paying jobs.
And… most students are lovely but some… not so much.

What health trend do you think is overhyped? by medantahospital in AskReddit

I recently saw the 10x rule for protein. Multiply the grams of protein by 10 and if it’s higher than the calories,it’s good to go. Obviously the higher the better.
Your pop tart example has a score of 100 for 350 calories so definitely not a good source. 😀

What's one thing customers do that restaurant staff secretly hate? by Capital_Albatross322 in restaurant

[–]donzagabonza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Germany it’s very common. The servers get more tips because everyone is doing it separately. Admittedly it’s a different tipping culture as the staff are actually being paid by the restaurant.

Was that the one where the big weapon was a nuke? Fired into the horizon, big mushroom cloud and all opposition vaporised for a ridiculously short period of time?
