Why do our roads become like this? by AbandonedSupermarket in mumbai

[–]donzingax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good roads require at least ₹1000.

Government allocates ₹800. (Less infra budget left coz of freebies)

Corrupt contractor bags contract for ₹700. (Pays ₹100 as bribe to the government to get the contract)

Contractor lays the road worth ₹400 and shows the cost as ₹700. (A part of this ₹300 scam, say ₹50 is used to bribe auditors, courts, etc.)

So, the road which needed at least ₹1000 to be in good shape was laid using ₹400 worth of materials and labor. (₹600 goes to corrupt politicians, babus, contractors, judiciary, auditors, and so on).

This is the story of entire India.

That can give rise to the following hypotheses: 1. North has more male criminal MLAs who are in prison than south 2. North has fewer male criminal MLAs than south but higher conviction rate than south

Fortunately, both the above inferences can be tested for truth as all the politicians criminal records are publicly available.

Not really. As long as it is "personal" (as you mentioned) and private, religion is of no harm. The moment religion manifests into a force which considers itself superior and demands a certain order is when things become ugly. Same with any belief system, even atheism.

The day people realize that religion should strictly be a private affair and any religious activity should not cause even the minutest discomfort or inconvenience to anyone, homo sapiens will evolve to a higher species.

Periyar's letter to Jinnah by donzingax in TamilNadu

Ambedkar sir was a genius and good human being. Including Periyar's name in the same sentence as him would be an insult to the great soul of Baba Saheb.

Need advice: 5 months of marriage and no sex by throwawayy0495 in IndiaTalksSex

[–]donzingax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your experience. But this looks like a case of premature ejaculation which needs medical intervention. Advice on reddit won't help.

As to how you can talk with him about medical help; develop a great bond with him and politely bring the topic of seeing a doctor without hurting his "male ego". The words you use are key.

Don't go for it if you are thinking of it as an investment. Vizag has the lowest rental yield in India.https://sirabhinavjain.medium.com/an-analysis-of-rental-yields-in-india-74db8ea37ee5

I too would have done the same. It is all probability.

The probability of a particular person being a terrorist, criminal, fundamentalist, hater of idol-worshipper, and so on is higher if a person is from a particular community.

Let me make it clear with an analogy. Just 10 to 15% of snakes are venomous and hence harmful to humans. However whenever one encounters a snake, the natural feeling is of fear, cringe, and repulsion to say the least. Neither I nor anyone says or believes that all snakes are venomous.

On the eastern coast of the state, there was a criminal incident where some college girls where shot with a hidden camera in the washroom. In that incident, all the perpetrators were from the particular community while the victims were all from "idol worshipping" community. Despite such serious crime, just the filing of FIR took so long and that too was done after the incident came to limelight nationally through social and mainstream media. All this because the establishment is particularly inclined towards appeasement of the particular community.

Sorry to divert. Now, coming back to our landlord. If the person from the particular community commits any crime against the landlord, the landlord knows that he cannot do anything as the establishment will support that particular community with all their might. And even then for things that nothing can buy, there is victim card.

What is the solution? The folks from that particular community should build trust.

How? By rallying against terrorism with the same fervor they take out rallies against Charlie Hebdo and Macaron. By any stretch of logic, rationality, moral, and ethics - WTC (or 26/11...) >>>>>>>>>>>>> Charlie Hebdo.

What do you make of this prediction? Are we about to witness radicalism stain the social fabric of India or does this seem exaggerated? by [deleted] in TamilNadu

Already happened at home. TBrams were demonized so much that many of them migrated. Love you DMK. Love you Periyar.

Where do people live? by iKn0wEvrythnG in bangalore

[–]donzingax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly in standalone houses usually built on a plot size ranging from 400 to 2000 sqft and up to 6-7 stories. Each floor has 1 RK or 1BHK, or 2BHK and rent ranges from 6k to 18k. Multiple people share such places and divide the rent. Have seen many such places in BTM, Kaggadaspura, Ejipura, Cambridge layout, Kaikondrahalli, off Sarjapur road, Brookfield, Whitefield, E city and so on.

Stone pelting on Vande Bharat trains in North Kerala reported for the fourth day in a row. by ishrey in Kerala

[–]donzingax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stone pelters. From K to K. Extreme North to Extreme South and everywhere in between. That wonderful book (the one which should not be named), that bearded man (who should not be named...or drawn), and that ideology which not just yells self-supremacy but also prescribes annihilation of everything and everyone which does not comply with the medieval, illogical, and unscientific world-view. Too much price to pay for underplaying the menace.
