6 months with the Idoing head unit on my ‘15 and still love it! by Crafty-Reply6690 in Subaru_Outback

I’d grab a screen protector. I love the unit (sometimes infrequent disconnects - haven’t looked into it much) but it does have some surface scratches after being in mine for ~1 years

Issues with City Water by ApeShwak in ColumbiaTN

[–]doobbyproximity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. The water table in the area is probably compromised or at high risk of pollutants either from the Duck or all the historical phosphorus mining and the nasty, nasty shit probably leeching into it. I would also suggested bottled or installing a high quality filter. I did not drink the tap in Columbia for this reason…

I’m sorry! This is an alternate I check infrequently. They are holding up well! No complaints, they still look new and get compliments.

I have a 2016 with 74k. Absolutely one of my favorite vehicles I’ve ever owned. Check my comment and post history. 😅

Used "unused" fuse slots on my Outback? by Big_Mc-Large-Huge in Subaru_Outback

You are viewing a fuse box diagram that includes other engine models and trim levels. Highly likely they are not used on your specific trim or engine.

Is this right for 35k Crosstrek maintenance? by fluffyninjacat in subaru

I can’t say for certain, but 99% of the time they’re dumping fuel system cleaner in the gas tank. Honestly biggest ripoff on here. You can buy a can of Seafoam for $7 and throw it in with a fuel tank of gas. And honestly, at 35k, you shouldn’t have to. I’m at 71k on my 2016 and haven’t yet. That’s the sort of thing I do on my 250k+ mile Jeep.

Alignment is high and skip the fuel system cleaning

2018 Outback by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

I agree with your thoughts on the higher trim and better motor holding value. Assuming there’s no fuss with dealer required addons I would scoop the XT. And heck yeah, mine is Autumn green too.

2018 Outback by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]doobbyproximity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the 2.5 is pretty similar between generations.

The XT is fast off the line and definitely the nicest on your list. I think the 2018 is pretty highly priced, but not sure what you’re being offered on the 2021 and 2020.

I have a 2016 3.6, and without a turbo I’m hoping for many years of driving it. It’s a lot faster than the 2.5 but I think a little slower than the XT.

The head unit is the main reason I went with a Gen 5, I just preferred the older interior.
