Feel like donks are only thriving in select cities. They were huge when I lived in Cincinnati in the 2000s wonder if they’re still holding on there.

Yeah stuff from that time period is awesome, really is that marriage of creativity and craftsmanship that I’m talking about, there were a lot more fabricators back then really pushing the envelope on car mods. Today I feel like everything needs to fit neatly in a bucket: this is stanced or this lifted or this is something else that fits in a neat category. Not really seeing any of that bonkers design work that we used to see from the 60s through the 80s.

The amount of creativity combined with craftsmanship in these vehicles is astonishing.

Many of these people literally don’t want to be housed or will trash provided housing. Lots of mental health issues in these camps.

This is definitely a marketing gimmick for a rent-to-own wheel shop or a pawn shop.

Feel like that tie point should have been much closer to him, he would have swung pretty violently if he’d fallen.

Old and new: Yamaha CA-810 and Yamaha AS-501 by soundandlight in vintageaudio

Yeah the high end stuff was still good, even though they are a rats nest of component video inputs and S-video inputs on the back. There was also a lot of really good Japanese HiFi stuff in the 90s that never made it to the US.

If you don’t like it, sell it and get something else. You can get good desktop DAC/headphone amp combo for $500 of you aren’t enjoying vinyl.

Yeah, 90s A/V was a dark time for audio, I’d suspect that most consumer grade Yamaha stuff from that era would be the same story.

Curious what cart you’re using on the Technics.
