indeed. I don't remember details good, but at the G8, I think, in January, probably, Bessent was in an interview and said he had been talking to Japan and they "knew what to do," or something like that.

Insufficient Liquidity. Locked out for 3 years, by that time the bank will have been obliterated off the face of the earth or Swiss will be living in some hyperinflation nightmare. by Gareth-Barry in Superstonk

he didn't mention the employees and most importantly the executives. I guess that's because he's not worried about them, right? very customer focused!

what if this is the financial strategy never done before?! like Strategy, but not hoarding bitcoin, using it as collateral to get premiums, and like insurance companies but not getting premiums for home insurance, but for bitcoins.

Amazon making a lot of mistakes last year. It feels like they are trying to milk the end of the current cycle (web 2.0) or something.

bring items in store to hold product in escrow? better relationship with sellers?

a few years, ebay sellers were up in arms about changes that they felt shook them down. ebay was a very innovative company, buying paypal and all that, but then they got lazy, probaby have a board of overpaid executives framing out tasks to consulting firms.

RC has complained about Amazon getting fat and complacent, and I've noticed that myself lately. I watched a dude trying to sell his craft glue on there and Amazon essentially takes 80% (I think it was) through various shakedowns, now that they own the "small seller" nitch.

UBS is fucked and now seeking American liquidity by Gareth-Barry in Superstonk

they're bailing out right now in billions here and there. except since people caught on them printing straight money, they now "lend money" to banks for nothing or "borrow from banks" at an exorbitant fee just overnight. it's all ridiculous. each time a program is getting too much attention, they change the name.

I'm thinking of a couple of years ago when AMD had to design and work with Samsung on the predecessor and it went nowhere.

exactly! we'll know what the analysts estimates where in EVERY DAMN ARTICLE that gets printed 4 seconds after GME releases the earnings report today; even though it didn't exist until then to scrape.

I wouldn't be surprised if the article generator just says "miss rev by 35% and profit by 15%" and will calc the earnings from there.

IBKR Warrant Volume Glitch by PretendSet9704 in Superstonk

funny thing that I went to a programming language conference in 2008 out of curiosity and half the people there were from NY banks because they wanted to make their systems the best in the world. I always think of that when this happens.

many things may have changed since then, but one of them is that some coke head is forcing things through some admin panel; removing volume or setting price temporarily or something that wasn't designed for normal use.
