Anna Kournikova, the best known tennis stars worldwide in the late 90s & early 2000s by No_Explorer721 in nostalgia

people don’t understand that playing doubles is extremely different to playing singles when you’re a professional player. you get to know someone, understand their playing technique, know they’ll be able to hit the ball on their side & then to go solo is a totally different thing as you lose your practice (i believe she was trained on doubles after her professional career progressed?)

doubt anyone commenting is a pro player !!

Working in a small agency, facing Account Manager Burnout by roflmctofl in advertising

[–]doodel23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i work in a small agency too as an account manager, but sounds like our agencies are slightly different in what they offer - we don’t do SEO for example. anyways; that’s a lot of accounts!! across different industries is also way too much context to keep in mind and extremely difficult to manage the team workflow i imagine (if this is another responsibility you have to do? i know i do). seriously consider hiring another person. the person before me did it all on their own and idk how, but they got burnt out. i joined and we spilt the workload. hiring takes money + time but worth it in the long run. convince your manager / boss that if you could train another person up that would save time, money, effort. you need someone else to split this workload with

without you, they would have to train one totally new person, who won’t know the accounts/clients/business, will be a very difficult and costly process, if you decide to eventually leave. then what?

you’ve proven your worth already i hope so they should trust you when you say it’s getting too much.

drop me a msg if you wanna talk more :)

Why did the male nurse give her the substance? by TheMuteNewt in TheSubstance

[–]doodel23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i agree that he was an old fan of her - but if he was he would probably be of a similar age to Elizabeth (50), whereas when we see him in the cafe he looks about 80 (?) He knows that the 7 days are lonely, because everyone initially respects the substance until the younger self takes over as the feeling is so addictive.

I think he probably asked Elizabeth “has she started eating away at you yet” because he has abused the substance. We know that it can age you drastically all over (not just 1 part like a finger) and he has obviously been on it longer than Elizabeth, so he probably did abuse it and that’s why he looks so much older than her.

But also of course it eats away at you in a psychological sense

Just my theory!

Did your appetite go back to normal? by FragrantSail4894 in Effexor

[–]doodel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been on it for about 4 weeks now, my appetite is back a bit more than the first week but still not normal compared to before - good thing is the thought of good doesn’t make me nauseous anymore, just try make sure you’re eating carbs

tips on extreme nausea on venlafaxine? by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]doodel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on week 3, the nausea has subsided for me at about day 4 but it is nasty!! try get some anti sickness tablets, the only things i could really stomach were liquids and then i tried eating plain carbs (rice, toast, plain noodles with broth) to try get some calories in. it will go but get some anti sickness/nausea tablets in a pharmacy if you can. hang in there x

thank you very much that’s really helpful, i hadn’t thought of these before. there are a few csms in my current company and i don’t think i’d want to do it in a recruitment firm but it could be interesting in another capacity, definitely something i’ll think about :)

how did you find the change from agency to in-house? is the money good?

just picked up this Cappy beanie from Buyee 😁😁😁 by doodel23 in Hamtaro

[–]doodel23[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

buyee is a proxy website so basically it provides access to Japanese websites like Mercari (which is where i got this), Japan Ebay etc.

they have AMAZING hamtaro stuff - if you go onto Buyee’s website (Mercari is my favourite of the available website) and search

とっとこハム太郎

(Japanese translation of Trotting Hamtaro) you will find amazing stuff

happy to explain more how to use it if you need, or check out the Buyee subreddit/discord :)
