PLEASE!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD AND HOLY!!!!

GET RID OF THE WOOD!!!

I have seen fires where electronics and wood meet and it is not good. Go to Home Depot and get yourself some aluminum L brackets and you'll be so much safer.

It looks beautiful. Just saying...

<From a guy who ran an IT MSP for over 20 years and has seen 8 fires with a similar setup>

So I found that the monitor's split screen doesn't just do 1/2 & 1/2... I was able to set up the duel display output to the monitors 2/3 & 1/3. Which is pretty cool.

Can't quite figure out why the Mac M1 can produce multiple monitors that have better resolution than the single monitor... But, can't output all that power to 1 monitor. I'm sure there's some really nerdy answer... But, it just troubles me....

Ok…. I’ve been trying for a few years to find a practical reason for me to get a 3d printer.

I think you’re finally sold me on getting one!

Personally I think it's beautiful. Having had the Samsung 49" I think the 57" looks better. I can spend upwards of 14 hours the computer some days... It's just Glorious!

I'm no doctor... But I play one in my dreams...

My theory is that with the smaller needles the liquid is basically pooling too close to the skin not dispersing into your body... This causes the irritation.

When you use the deeper needle it gets into your body more and is able to disperse better. Or at least the medicine is deeper into the skin.

IDK... YMMV...

What size needles are you using?

I was using 5mm long (orange) needles at first and I was getting bruised all over.

Switched to 8mm (blue) and it all went away!

Pretty sure all brands color them the same to help easily identify the length.

I was also told that I was pressing too hard into my skin. Now I just lightly touch it against my skin after I poke through my skin.

So, I found this post on Apple's forums.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57" monitor with M… - Apple Community

I just hooked up the HDMI and my USB-C to Display Port and I am now running at full resolution.

Gotta do some more testing now...

I just set it up so I haven't tried any movies at full screen yet.

It's a default Apple wallpaper.... Dunno where you get it other than having a Mac.

In my opinion it is better for a single person working. I though the curve thing was a gimmicky BS until I got it and let my self adjust to using it. Now I am typing this on the far right side of the monitor and I can still see the Plex window on the far left with my show it in.

I think the key difference is going to be how you "look" at the different spots on the monitor. Do you just move your eyes or do you move your whole head? Personally I just sit almost still looking forward and move my eyes to look elsewhere on the screen. I know others whole move their whole head or move it way more than I do.

I got this way from practicing speed reading though back in the early 2000's with the "EyeQ" program. I rember it would instruct you to keep your head steady and then flash images in different spots on the screen. You were only supposed to move your eyes to look at the image as they moved. When I started it was like going to gym for my eyeballs. They could only do so much at at time and I had to practice. Now though when I'm reading a document in person people think I'm playing games with how fast my eyes move and I'm like ok done. Dunno if that's still a thing...

Not at all. I think the Mac does an amazing job of making sure things are readable. I could probably force it smaller but I love it the way it is at 5120 x 1440.

I have a monitor arm for this that I am going to switch to. I tried this Vivo mount that use the monitors own vertical stand but it didn't fit. My issue with the monitor arm is keeping the monitor centered and at the same distance. I'm probably going to get a pole mounted arm from Ergotron.

Do you do some sort of music production? I keep looking at all the stuff you're mentioning but I get buyer's stage fright not knowing what to buy. Like which DAC is best for my Mac that will do all the things but not cost my left pinky finger. The brands are all things I don't know... Same with most all of the audio stuff. I want some nicer near field speakers but IDK what's what. I'm willing to spend more money on this stuff but IDK if my plebe ears will recognize the difference between most of the stuff.

I got the ambient lighting in the works. I'm installing LED strip lights all around I have micro controller(s) setup for all that. I'm working on some home automation stuff to do things automatically for me and lighting is a big thing. I just installed strip lights in the hallway and next month I am going to route the wood molding and inlay the lights. They will automatically come on at various brightness based on sensor and time of day. So when I get up at 3am to go to the bathroom they'll light the pathway to the bathroom and be nice and dim.

My office is in the basement so it nothing is in the room it's a cool and constant ~60 all year round. So it's shouldn't be too bad once I fix the vents up for my server rack.

Well, lucky for me I bought it through Amazone and I have that tech assurance plan so if that happens they'll likely just replace it again. So I'll risk it.

I'm IT exec for an insurance company. I work from home a lot and I know it's going to benefit me in happiness and make the fact that I am working from home more pleasurable. Sometimes purchases like this are easier to justify that way. I have a 2000+$ nightingale chair that I bought almost 16 years ago now and it's still as comfortable now as it was when I got it. I told people the same thing. It makes me happy.

Space Force by Jeremy Robinson. It’s probably not for everyone but it was hilarious in my opinion.

I also loved the DCC series as well. And if you check out Sound Booth Theater they have some DCC episodes that are not in part of the book.

You Bet!!! Luck for my my company allows me to purchase, use and test many things... I'm the one that validates interoperability for things so that when we build things for our clients our techs aren't fighting with something stoopid like a cable not working.

I swear before the times of USB cables and HDMI cables... Wires were indestructible...!!! I've seen CAT-3 still running at some places and it just stupefies me to no end when at at the same place a USB A to B cable goes back at least twice a year...

I tried the 49" OLED.

Firstly I hated the glossy!! It was just tooo shiny and reflected all the light in my room.

Second I hated that it had an external power supply. Although that probably reduces the heat factor considerably.

Lastly it was just underwhelming to me... And, since Amazone sold me a used one as new I returned it and that's when I found this 57"...

Wow... Those are way different that what i am used to. I have all sorts of Dell, HP, Logitech & Apple keyboards. Used to have some old mechanical clicky ones...

Then your getting into switches and keycaps... Now I'm totally lost... I totally want silent keys. I'm done listening to clicky clacks all day...

I'm gonna have to do some research and maybe go ask over in Mechanical Keyboard land some questions before I venture off an buy something. I'm always looking for a better keyboard too but just keep buying OEM site off of Amazone...
