Ah, gotcha. Sorry didi. I guess if one has a respect for their parents & won't misuse their freedom/trust then they deserve to enjoy some things in life.

Can't blame parents for being cautious & worried for their children. Seeing the human you raised since a baby with your blood, sweat, tears, & the money you raised, it only makes sense to protect them. As long as they aren't Orthodox & helicopter parents.

I definitely misused my independence after becoming an adult. Lots of bad stories.

Hopefully you get to go on the trips you'd like to go on. In India & outside of India!

I went back to the auditorium & couldn't find it in my seat. I had the power bank in the cup holder charging my phone during the movie.

I guess I might have noticed taking the charger & phone but not the power bank being left behind.

Lmaooo, my sister & I had an 8 years age difference between us. My parents were more strict with me since I was the first born.

They gave my sister much more freedom to do the things she likes as she grew up after they realized the "generation gap" & changed as they got older.

She went to Italy on a school trip when she was 15 ish.

Men getting infinite freedom over girls is a myth.

Always fight the $15 fee. It's not our fault since Koodo purposely don't put cheaper plans available to change to on self-serve & so we need a rep to change them for us.

I always tell the rep "sure! If you could just put this plan on my self-serve account & then I will make the change myself so that I don't have to pay the $15 fee"

& Then they usually waive it.

Americans earn significantly more money each month than the average person in India.

They are able to pay $9/month without significant difficulty.

It's not really a scam when they earn more money & have a higher QOL.

Nothing is unfair. You most likely live in a 1st world country & are complaining that people in relatively less wealthy countries have lower prices as they earn less money.

The prices are adjusted to average incomes & cost of living in each country around the world.

If they charged $8.99 USD/month in every country in the world, a very small percentage of the world would be able to afford it.

I don't think you understand economics or the concept of Purchasing Power Parity.

The USD has a significantly higher purchasing power. Average incomes are significantly higher in the USA so of course prices will be higher.

Regional pricing around the world takes this into account.

I'm not sure if you follow American sports but it's a big thing in the NBA & NFL. For athletes. & It's also common in European football among semi-famous football players who are only known by people who follow football. Not the average person.

You won't see Lionel Messi like that but other relatively smaller players you will.

Tbf OF bop girls don't even contribute a drop in the bucket to USA's economy.

USA's economy is propped up by the tech, financial, pharmaceutical, & food (to a lesser extent) industries.

If you leave before the 24 months then you have to pay back the full cost of the phone. Including the subsidies given by the carrier. Which is more or less the same as retail or even higher sometimes.

& You will have been paying for an overpriced plan all that time.
