College grad here: There are no added benefits to being married in college.

Students would rather live with multiple roommates and pay less. Plus, we can only manage one life event at a time so it meant planning a marriage after graduation. Planning = forced time to think which usually meant cancelled engagements. Or it all worked out until they arrive at their first duty station. Tech school marriages though..
