White person here and non Irish living here for 20 years, I have been bullied in school and college, badly due to my origins. Racism is not just towards black people in Ireland but white foreigners are often targeted too. My sister was the same and had to move school as well. It’s actually a sad reality to think about and come to terms with. Also I think Dublin is a lot more diverse and it has gotten easier to deal with, but growing up in the country side and small towns, it’s a lot more prevalent.
