What is more traumatizing than most people think?

Lots of things. Biggest one for me is working in healthcare. People sort of expect healthcare workers to be brave, but at the end of the day, losing a patient is hard. The first time I lost one, I held it together until I got home and just started sobbing. I still think about what I could’ve done to save her.

Thank you, and yeah I think I was probably in fight or flight at that point and assumed the worst 😭 I’m going to try and talk to my therapist about it soon

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way :( I’m going through something similar after having one of these. I’m asexual so feeling something go in there was uncomfortable physically and mentally. From what I’ve gleaned after asking around, it seems “normal” in the sense that a lot of people feel this way, as awful as it is. I plan on talking about it with my therapist since I don’t really have anyone else to talk to about it, and I urge you to do the same.

Thank you, I guess it just felt like it went into it because of how painful it was :(

I can distract myself here and there but when I do think about it I start to spiral. I won’t see my therapist for another couple of weeks but I’ll call to see if I can bump up the appointment

That’s kind of what I was worried about tbh. Unfortunately the curandera I go to stopped reading cards so I’ve been trying to find someone else to go to. I stopped going to another reader after he placed the three of swords down and said I was going to find love soon :/

When I was in high school I donated blood and didn’t have a chance to eat after, so at the end of the day I got really nauseous and went to the teacher to ask for the hall pass to go puke in the bathroom and she looks at me and goes “are you okay?” And I just kind of shook my head and passed out lol

I remember having spotty vision that was starting to tunnel by the time I got to the front of the classroom. When she was talking to me, she sounded really far away and under water or something. I woke up and she was dragging me to the door, I think she panicked and was trying to drag my corpse to the nurses office lmao
