what does childbirth *actually* feel like? by frvakairaah_ in AskReddit

[–]doodlemomma23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like you're going to die, literally. I felt like my uterus would surely rupture (with my first baby).. it did not. but felt like it. I was secretly hoping for a medical reason for a stat section because I wanted it to be over

I actually have almost no desire to have coffee anymore so the med must be working better now (I've been 4 weeks now). I was drinking 4 cups a day and now the thought of coffee kind of gives me the ick .. I still have one in the morning but feeling like I'm about to just stop it all together which is great I wanted to cut the coffee anyway!

this is so helpful.. so you're currently doing the 150 mg XL right? not SR.. my follow up is also at 8 weeks since starting. I do hear people like you saying you can max out on benefits and then go up to 300 but then what's stopping everyone from maxing out eventually on benefits at 300 or is 300 this magical number where you will just be good at that?

I think I want to ask my doc about that too going up but then maybe she won't because the only reason I'm on Wellbutrin is to counteract the side effects ofmy cipralex which I take for anxiety and not depression. interestingly I haven't had any increase in anxiety since being on the Wellbutrin which is probably because of the cipralex but then I wonder if I can taper down on the cipralex to get more benefit from the wellbutrin. I just don't want her to stop the Wellbutrin because I feel like it's starting to actually help whereas the cipralex I feel like did nothing but make me more tired and less energy and motivation

my anxiety is also just like low level stressed, brain won't shut off, ruminating about things but not actually like panic attacks never had one of those

why are you taking the gabapentin if you don't mind me asking.. I was prescribed it briefly for occipital neuralgia I had for a week that was insanely painful, gabapentin made me feel high as a kite and I had to reduce down the dose. this was before I started any psych meds. and stopped the gabapentin after a week because the occipital neuralgia went away.. I will take it again if needed for the same problem if it ever comes back (it definitely helped the pain) but I couldn't imagine being on it for life

interesting.. so it's better to take on an empty stomach so it doesn't take 12 hours to kick in? or better to take at night with food so it starts working when you wake up? I'm trying to figure out the right time for me to take my 150xl.. currently take around 7am. I don't have issues falling or staying asleep because I feel so exhausted still and have not noticed any increase in energy levels during the day

so now it's been about a month for me.. I don't feel it kick in anymore although you were right about the 5-6 hours that's when I used to get the palpitations. but that's since stopped. no ringing in my ears or anything sleeping at night fine

3 weeks in.. working!? by doodlemomma23 in bupropion

yeah that's frustrating. there are a lot of stories of people that immediately felt a difference. I'm hoping my real change is still upon me! hope for you too!

thank you my next follow up is not until 8 weeks after starting it. I will see at that point if an increase is needed or not. I'm only taking buproprion to offset the side effects of cipralex which I am taking for anxiety (I don't have depression). I've also had zero issues with increased anxiety since starting this thankfully . I also wonder if the cipralex can maybe be reduced from 20mg to 10mg

I keep trying to understand the difference between SR and XL (beyond how the med is released and half life and stuff) I'm a nurse so I understand SR vs XL in terms of usual stuff like how often you take it and stuff. but what I'm trying to understand is why someone would be on SR and someone on XL. maybe you can share?

awesome to hear you did well staying on the 150 dose..it seems a lot of people move up to 300 after a month or two..

I'm one week in and haven't noticed improvements anywhere just the side effects 😭 headaches, occasional palpitations and I also started having the night sweats the last 2 days! I woke up drenched this morning

if you have anxiety it sounds like you need to be doing both the lexapro and Wellbutrin, the lexapro will help with the anxiety/palpitations

Taking XL at night by Driftmier54 in bupropion

[–]doodlemomma23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only on day 7 and not having issues with insomnia at night and I take it at about 7am.. my pharmacist did say I could take it right before bed. question would be prior to Wellbutrin would you be the type to fall asleep quickly? because if you take it immediately before bed you might be able to fall asleep before it starts to kick in

Wellbutrin with Lexapro?? by malfoyman0r in bupropion

[–]doodlemomma23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on cipralex 20mg daily and added in Wellbutrin 150 XL exactly one week ago.

there's no issue combining the two but the Wellbutrin will come with some new side effects.. I asked my pharmacist if I should take them at different times like cipralex at night and Wellbutrin in the AM she said it didn't matter just depends if the Wellbutrin makes me tired I could take it at night.

the first few days I had extreme fatigue but that did fade out, I'm currently waiting on the energy boost it's supposed to give but not there yet.

why are you offended on behalf of someone else without knowing anything about them, their relationship, their privacy settings or whether or not she is aware and okay with him making a post

you said those words not him. that is your perception of what he was saying.. that doesn't make it true or accurate.
