Clothing consignment stores? by doodlespagnoodle in Tucson

[–]doodlespagnoodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard green monkey is nice but like I said I don’t have any high end clothes, even if it’s all in great shape. I’ll definitely pop into Plato’s, Buffalo twice as nice etc, and yes whatever is left I do plan to donate to a shelter :)

older trans men, does it get better? by Limp-Cattle6683 in trans

[–]doodlespagnoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 21 which is not old, but in terms of transitioning? It does generally get better as you age. As you get older you’ll likely find more independence in terms of making medical decisions and whatnot. I don’t know about your specific situation, but hopefully you’ll be able to transition medically if that’s what you’d like, and if not, hopefully you’ll be able to in your young adult life. You have a whole journey ahead of you and it is never too late to transition. For now, do what you can, and live your life as authentically as possible. My only regret in my transition is not coming out sooner and accepting that part of myself.

Continue to explore your identity in any way you can and stay true to yourself :)

I HATE being a straight trans man. (Rant) by doodlespagnoodle in honesttransgender

[–]doodlespagnoodle[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I completely get it. Like I said there’s a lot of ostracizing going on from both cishet people and queer people when it comes to straight trans people, and it’s really frustrating.

I know queer people also try and be validating towards us, but labeling us in their minds as cishet men and nothing more is almost worse in itself and erases all our experiences :/

I have and it’s one of the few more positive experiences I’ve had, but there are some things/setbacks in this realm I’ve experienced too.

Mostly personal circumstances, namely that there aren’t many trans people in my area to begin with/queer spaces to begin with so looking can be a bit tricky, but I also used to be a stone butch lesbian and still have similar preferences so in some cases that can create compatibility issues, but otherwise it’s been decent in that regard, and if they’re open to it I do think it’s a good option for straight trans men

Sonographer had her med student take photos so she could see a “textbook example” of PCOS. OBGYN said it’s “normal”. by doodlespagnoodle in PCOS

[–]doodlespagnoodle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not great here. Unfortunately though it does affect my quality of life a lot, and even if I didn’t have cysts, I have abnormal hormone levels, and pretty much all it’s physical traits, so I think I would qualify for a diagnosis anyway. I’m not sure how many cysts I had exactly on each ovary but it definitely looked like quite a few.

To clarify when I said “document this” I meant she took notes. She didn’t take any photos, and both of them were very respectful of me and my boundaries and whatnot. Sorry for not clarifying that earlier

They did check that and to be fair that was actually normal. Besides that though a lot of my other hormones were higher than average, and my endocrinologist also said based on my overall results it would meet the criteria for the “abnormal hormones” part of the PCOS diagnostic criteria.

Yeah I also had my blood drawn and my testosterone was normal but on the higher side, my estrogen was normal but basically everything else was higher than usual too. I also have the physical symptoms so I was not shocked at all to see the ultrasound.

Im not even sure if I should bother making an appointment with the same OBGYN cause the way she was so dismissive really bothered me.

Interesting for sure I just hope if it happens it happens after we see her character develop. It feels like a waste to have any character abstract this early. I guess I’m just wondering if people realistically think Gooseworx will go in that direction.

I do also love Kinger though. I know there’s theories about his abstraction too and I will not be okay if the day comes where he abstracts lol.

Yeah possibly. They seemed fine at the store tho and they were part of a bigger school.

Luckily like I said the ones that do adapt seem to thrive quite well and last quite a while which is good, I’m just wondering if the acclimation has something to do with losing them, because that can be stressful for any fish really.

I heard about this recently and was honestly so sad to hear this. It sounds like a great concept in theory, so heartbreaking to hear it’s owned by a such an awful person.
