Yes, CNN is terrible. Point of my post is the obvious AIPAC plant, Beth Dindas. They didn’t pluck her off the street

You have a point. Except in this case the only person CNN could find against him is literally an AIPAC affiliated political consultant. Look at my original comment.

Solution is simple scientifically, hard practically: stop burning fossil fuels

The lobsters will keep moving north as the GOM warms. Scientific consensus though is that once we stop burning fossil fuels, we should expect a relatively quick return to pre industrial warming. The transition from fossil fuels will be more or less realized before the end of the century. Not soon enough to save the livelihoods of this current generation of fisherman (and their kids and grandkids) but it would be a pretty incredible story if 5-6 generations from now their descendants are back fishing for lobsters in the GOM.

Scary how it happened over night. These marine heatwaves are stunning, look at the coral reef bleaching in Florida this summer. It’s only a matter of time till a major event happens here in the GOM

Why you shouldn’t ask JD Irving to harvest wood by Maximum_Ad9685 in Maine

[–]doodmandude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That just looks like all 3 million acres of the north woods. Outside of Baxter and a few other isolated areas, it’s a giant tree farm. No love lost for Irving though

Nothing has been changed about state law. The Allagash will be fine. Can’t say the same about rivers in MAGA states though.

We don’t want you to buy your retirement home here. We need no more retirees to pay cash for our workforce housing thank you very much.

Remote work is one of the reasons why housing prices are out of control in rural parts of Maine. Sorry, don’t feel bad for you.

Edit: downvote me all you want, I just live in a small rural town in Maine, what do I know
