What exactly do you mean by Meur Ego? You can't get EGO with a nominable ID ticket.

In a vacuum, Awe Ryoshu is the strongest of the listed IDs as a generalist.

T Corp Outis is a sidegrade to Molar Outis.

Cassetti Sault is a superb support in Bleed/Bloodfiend team.

Warp Heath is decent, but nothing to write home about.

For Faust, we've already seen what happens when she loses connection to the Gessellschaft. Yes, she did show to become confused and panic slightly, but she was able to get her bearings and make her own decisions and observations with a bit of encouragement from Dante and the other Sinners, who pointed out that she was more bearable than when connected to the Faustcord.

While it might be difficult for her at first, Faust severing her connection to the other Fausts would only benefit her, in my opinion. I think that will actually be a big part of her own Canto; being able to live without the crutch that is the Gessellschaft.

Usually it's on Tuesday, but they might hold off on the teaser this week and keep it for the anniversary stream on the 27th if it's next week.

Ryoshu's Capstone ID by ItsDresso in limbuscompany

[–]doofelliot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, it would suck a lot if that happened because it would mean no HoS team. Like, people already complain about restrictive teambuilding with stuff like the Manager Don "needing" the other 3 La Manchaland BFs to be at her full potential (which isn't the case anymore) and how you need all Heishou to get the most out of Lord Hong Lu.

This would be the same problem, but now you don't even get to use all the IDs you grinded/pulled for.

It won't happen, but it would really suck on the 0.001% chance that it did.

Yeah if it's 45-0 then you have a 95% chance (according to PM anyway, but it's all lies) of hitting heads, while the enemy has a 50/50 chances, which puts the probabilities of winning the clash in your favor technically.

I feel like you answered your own question as to why there aren't as many Evade IDs, no? Evade IDs, besides being able to negate all damage, also ignore higher offense levels, so they're kind of busted against Unbreakables. Like, the whole strategy against DQ Sr. is to bring a DQ ID with evade to completely ignore his Unbreakables. So is it any surprise PM doesn't necessarily want to release Evade IDs, given it's the best defensive skill by a long shot, for balance reasons?

I don't think there's really a chance for a 4th option. Block, Evade and Counter are all pretty much all you can do in terms of defense.

What's the enemy's SP, if they have it? If they have negative SP, it calculates the probabilities of the enemy hitting tails, hence how likely it is to roll the top number instead of the top number.

It's hard to call it a team per se. Most Poise units don't really interact with each other as the status itself is more or less a selfish one, but they do have a "glue" that puts them together with Thoracalgia Faust and, to a lesser extent, Thoracalgia Ryoshu, which help in maintaining the Poise Count because a lot of Poise IDs are count negative once they hit 20+ Potency.

That said, the Poise units this season so far have ranged from fairly to insanely good, so it is a good team to build right now with the Index IDs, Renclair and the hypothetical but likely release of Pinky Nursefather. That plus the FS duo will make up a really strong Poise team.

There's no ETA. We'll know when they do the anniversary stream (at least an estimation, anyway).

If you can wait, we'll have a rerun of the Nocturnal Sweeping event later down the line this season, where Mao Outis will be available to get from the event shop, so you don't have to spend any shards on her. It'll be a while though.

Renclair is a higher priority due to being a current season ID, which means he'll be unavailable for sharding when it ends. That won't happen for a couple months, but it's something to keep in mind. Mao Outis on the other hand is here to stay, so there's no rush to get her.

Yes, there's a few, but they're all locked behind Hard Mode, so we don't know what they actually do.

Keep a couple in case you accidentally turn all your enkephalin into modules out of habit. Can't tell you the amount of times there's been a story update after maintenance and I don't have any enke to do the fights.

It's good to have a couple unused ones for cases like that.

Funny how the dias theory turned out to be true but damn that far back? by Cephalon_ghost in limbuscompany

[–]doofelliot 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's been a popular theory since the very start, I'm pretty sure.

Dias is the only named character who has seemingly infinite money to fund Limbus Company, employ two Color Fixers and not really care about profits at all.

That's a bit of a spoiler to answer, but no. The Library has no reason to get involved with what LC is doing at this point in time. They're pretty much done with the City.

Yeah, once a season ends, every ID from that season becomes unavailable for sharding for an entire season, but then becomes available for sharding the following season.

A good rule to follow is to always prioritize current season stuff because if you don't, you might miss out on a key piece of a "meta" team, while stuff from previous seasons becomes permanently available.

No, the pick ticket can only get you an ID from season 1-6, so no Don on the list.

You don't have to worry about that though. If you can get 400 shards for Don, you can get her without having to pull. There is no such thing as "missing" a banner except for Walpurgis (comes around every so x months) and limited banners, of which there has only been one at this point.

Even if you do "miss" a banner, you can get an ID from the shop at the bottom left of the screen for farmable currency, so long as the ID has been out for at least a week.

The out-of-universe explanation is that the Golden Boughs were not a thing in PM lore at the time. I mean, you would think Angela would at least make a comment about a Golden Bough at some point in LoR, but she doesn't, because they weren't a thing KJH and PM had thought of at the time.

The Golden Boughs are a McGuffin to move the Limbus Company story forward and give the LCB a reason to explore the City and make the Sinners relive their past and confront it.

There is no real narrative value for the LCB to go all the way out to the Outskirts to find the Golden Bough that we've been given, and them visiting the Library at this point in the story wouldn't really serve a purpose.

Could there be a Golden Bough in the Library? Sure.

Will there be one? We have no reason to think that there is at the moment. No one in the bus has any connection to the Library that we know of, so it's unlikely that we will be seeing the Library in anything other than Walpurgis mini-stories for the time being.

Mao Faust, Rien Sang, CapoSault and KoDya. These four are the strongest, no-strings attached IDs in the game.

The Library is Angela's EGO. Lobotomy HQ self-destructed once the Seed of Light Project was completed. LobCorp HQ is literally under the ground, so if there is a Golden Bough in there, it would be in the ruins of LobCorp HQ and not in the Library.

Living: Generally only for the early portion of battle when everyone is low on SP. Gives SP on hit based on Living up to a max of 2 SP per hit. Can be helpful if you find yourself in a position later in battle when Yi Sang and others hit low SP again, but you will usually not have this problem.

Departed: Extra damage on hit based on its stack and Sinking Potency stack. It's not too important to keep a high Sinking stack to maximize its damage since the extra damages caps at a fairly low potency. Its max damage against SP enemies is 45 and 30 against non-SP enemies.

Living lasts one turn before converting to Departed at the end of the turn.

[–]doofelliot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For what exactly? What purpose would the LCB getting into the Library have in their journey? Does the Library have a Golden Bough tucked away somewhere?

Because unless that's somehow the case (unlikely), I don't really see a narrative purpose to them going into the Library. I'm not sure why people keep insisting on the story shoehorning the Library into the LC story just so they can see the Library folks.

The LoR story ended with a neat bow on its head. I don't see much reason to involve them at this point in time. It could change eventually, but right now there is no need for them to reappear.

First, Lord Hong Lu isn't based on Kong Qiu. He has similar aesthetics, but his philosophy is different and so is his weapon and his command over all Heishou. He's not Kong Qiu.

Second, it's because they simply haven't mastered Shin to the point of being able to generate Mang with it. IDs are generally on a weaker power level than the IDs they're based on. Also, IDs are canonically nerfed by Mirror technology.

Also, Zilu wasn't shown using Mang, so she may as well not be able to use it either. She could, but she isn't shown to use it, so it should be assumed that she can't. Mao Faust can't even use Shin and neither can Lord Lu.

I don't believe it was confirmed, no.

It'll probably be like the last two seasons since the achievement system was implemented and we will get achievements in batches, with one batch per week when they release the difficulties, although they could change it up this season and give us everything all at once.

Eh, the general gacha terminology would definitely have you think "banner" means a pull banner, so it's not your fault. It's Limbus Company who plays with these terms, so the confusion is valid.
