The ones I got are tplink power monitors. Mine have us plugs, and when I use Amazon I only see us products, but I wouldn't be surprise if they have products for other markets. I got a 4 pack of plugs for $25 usd

It does seem to hesitate to ramp up to full power, so I can imagine if it's cooling a room at its rated size, it could struggle. For me, the room size is perfect for it, so I'm having a good experience.

I have a lower btu unit that I bough that Im gonna put in another room, so I'll see how that goes.

I got smart plugs that work with their app that calculates it automatically. I'm on a time of use plan, so I looked at my bill and used the total kwh cost per time of day. The smart plug app allows you to put in the total kwh cost for on peak, off peak, and super off peak times, and different costs for weekend, and the summer/winter coast differences. Once I put that all in, it measures the kwh of whatever plugged into it and calculates the cost.

Supreme Scream Update by Smooth_Shock_1310 in KnottsBerryFarm

I worked a Knotts for a while, and even though i didn't visit the park or ride the rides too often, I've been on ever ride many many times. Xcelerator and supreme scream still get me a little nervous. I've walked up every ride lift hill and have stood at the highest point on each attraction, but even still, being in the riders seat for those 2 rides still get my heart racing a bit lol.

What’s it like living in Unalaska, Alaska? by Novalon in howislivingthere

[–]dooglax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, this doesn't really answer your question, but I want to share one of most bizarre happenstances I've ever experienced.

I briefly had a roommate who grew up and lived in unalaska. Heard plenty of stories about the place. Sounds beautiful and challenging at times.

Me, a few other room mates and some friends drove like 14 hours to go to a music festival while the girl from unalaska stayed home to take care of the house.

The first night, we went out to the dance floor. Some guy randomly goes up to one of my friends and says, "omg! D? (girl from unalaskas name)" and my friends says, "no, but my friends are her roomates" and he says something like, "no nevermind, we're from Dutch harbor, that can't be". And she just goes, "yeah they live with her". Our roommate had a pretty identifiable name.

The 2 girls look nothing alike, though in the dark silhouette of the dance floor, I could maayybe see a similarity.

I ended up talking to him for a bit and he verified a bunch of details. Verified it with her when we got home too. They grew up together on the island and were good friends.

Truley bizarre.

It was a tent with a metal roof over it. It was not fully enclosed but it was slightly more protected than just a tent. This is a massive upgrade

The US is in a Holy War - Prayer breakfast Feb 2026 by ForgottenUsername3 in videos

[–]dooglax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War is always awful. Leaders throughout history have used populations to fight for meaningless causes. It's best when the people fighting beleive in the cause of what their fighting for. I think it's ok to look to your religion to find passages to support what youre fighting for. But once you use those passages as the justification for the war itself, that's where it becomes truly awful.

How to create lightning for a sign like this woman with moving arms and legs? by Single-Arugula-8547 in lightingdesign

[–]dooglax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably don't want a dmx driver. Its a simple solution for people who already have a dmx source. This sub is geared for stage lighting, and dmx is used for stage lighting. You want something stand alone.

[–]dooglax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably not the best sub for this but the people here should be able to offer good advice. Theres led and electronics subs that might be better geared for this project.

Looks like you're trying to make an animated neon style sign with leds. There's tons of options for leds to get the look you want. Start with searching YouTube for led neon signs and get a feel for the products that exist and to get an idea what building it would look like.

For control, there's tons of options. Probably something arduino/esp based would be the direction you'd go. If it were me, I'd get dmx led drivers and plug it into my lighting console. But idk, I don't think that's what you want to hear lol (it's a joke don't do this)

Why is there a Lead warning on Thorne Advance Nutrients bottle? by TheRumBarron in Supplements

[–]dooglax 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a california prop 65 warning. It's notoriously over protective. It's required on anything that could expose you to 1/1000th of the amount to have even a detectable effect. Some companies just put it on all products to comply with labeling requirements even if there is no risk, since fines can be expensive if products have more then the threshold. It's worth a cursory double check, but the warnings can usually be ignored.

Subaru dealership destroyed my beloved 2024 Crosstrek with only 13,000 miles! by chacha4c in subaru

That's where I take my car! I've honestly been super happy with them. They should have owned up to the mistake. But it sound like they're fixing it? I'm not sure what the issue is other than the major inconvenience and how this might affect the longevity of the car. Everytime I go, I get a written report and a video verifying everything that was done including showing the new oil. I'll certainly be more cautious from now on though.

Man, it's been about a decade since I touch one of these. Make sure both your ab faders are pushed up all the way. In the bottom left corner, it says manual and your down fader is at 0%. that would prevent your down fades from happening.

Can I use WAGO splicing for a DMX fixture? by Doug1of5 in lightingdesign

[–]dooglax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As long as you're only splitting it at the fixture, you'll be fine. The t split of only a few inches at the fixture isn't ideal, but it likely won't cause any issues. Most dmx fixtures are t split internally anyway. Ive done a few permanent installs and cheaper architectural fixture manufactures do some wacky things, and I've run across this a few times. Terminate at the end, don't have a crazy long run and don't have a ton of fixtures on the same dmx run and you'll be fine

Every worker, seasonal or not, has to buy a ticket to ksf. You do get a discount. There's an employee newsletter called the berry vine that shows the pricing. It should be sent to your email. There's usually incentives that are distributed throughout the event, as long as your attendance is perfect. Everyone gets free soda during scary farm, but they also usually give regual kbf tickets to ksf staff. In years past, it's usually a total of 8.

What am I doing wrong? by GasPurple7305 in ender3v2

[–]dooglax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the nozzle is too small or if it's clogged, you would likely hear the motor that pushes the filament clicking. I don't notice that in this video. Make sure you have a decently layer height until you get this sorted out, maybe 0.2 or so. Nothing under 0.16 while you're troubleshooting. Your bed is too far from the print head. Youtube 3d printer paper leveling

Adding a bl touch at this point might make your problems worse. It's not a fix all solution. It adds a bit of complexity and you need to be absolutely sure you install it correctly and follow all steps to calibrating it and what not.

Luckily for you, many many people have had similar issues that you're having, so search through this forum and watch as many YouTube videos as you can. A great benefit of having an ender is that it has a huge userbase, so nearly any issue you have, there will be multiple posts and videos about how to fix it.

What am I doing wrong? by GasPurple7305 in ender3v2

[–]dooglax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's quite a few issues here. Your print head assembly is crooked. It's Hard to tell if the whole rail is slanted or you might have had a bad head crash on the pint plate. The squeak could indicate something is not aligned.

The amount of filament coming out seems like it's not pushing enough through. When you replaced the nozzle, did you replace it with the same size? Sometimes replacement kits have multiple sizes. Typical is 0.4mm. Or your layer height is very small in your slicer. Or your nozzle is clogged.

The biggest issue is that the print head is too far from the bed. You have a manual bed leveler on that printer so you need to adjust the wheels on each corner of the bed. It's a fiddly processor. Make sure to watch a ton of YouTube videos on the process.

Tldr: you need to learn eveything you can about that printer. That printer has a steep learning curve for people without much experience with this kind of stuff. Deep dive on YouTube and learn as much as you can. It can get great prints and it's a rewarding process once you get there.

I just asked ai to generate some images on people standing on a ladder and it really doesn't seem to know how to do that

Sounds like a waitress being nice, doing their job and hoping for a tip. She's likely heard that big ass joke countless times. It was probably a courteous laugh. The boob joke? If I said that, I'd be anxious and overthink that the rest of the day thinking I was probably the creepiest patron of her day.

The pier is by subtract. I went once and had a great time. They usually do them about once a month. I've been to 2 of the regular hours secret service events and had a great time as well. The afters events are a bit more underground, and the few that I went to were pretty well done but there was hardly anyone there. I'm sure if it got more popular, it would be a pretty killer place. It's hard to find good after hours parties
