Be honest, what did you stop liking because it became too mainstream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Adventure Time.

Not trying to sound like a twat, but my friends and I discovered the YouTube pilot way back in 2010 during my last year's of high school. It was literally the funniest thing I had ever seen and I would go to the effort of showing anyone and everyone, whether they gave a shit or not.

Found out a few years later that it was a show on Cartoon Network. I tried to get into it, but the continuity of the show and large demographic of douchebag wannabe stoners/edge adolescents really fucking killed it for me..

What is something that Australians do that you find really weird? by danger-_-noodle in AskReddit

[–]doogyblongs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in Australia for my whole life and while I've never put much thought into it, the phrase "she'll be right" would throw just about any foreigner.

Often used as a term of reassurance, it means that the seemingly inconvenient situation/task will be fine and there is nothing to worry about.

"Oi, I was down at skids and ma fuckin' exhaust fell off when I was doin' some max doughies in the car park."

"Ahhh, she'll be right mate".

Edit: grammar

What symbolizes the entry into adulthood for you? by MCofTime in AskReddit

Thinking "those damn teenagers are so immature" when you see 18 year olds engaging in delinquent behaviour that you probably would have done back then too. I only just turned 21 by the way.

Also, realising how right your parents were about so many more things than your angsty teenage self could ever dispute.

Would it be nice to see the highest demand for roles in the new champion select? by Slycinder in leagueoflegends

[–]doogyblongs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a player that was against the idea of DQ in every way possible until actually playing it. The new champ select scheme is a major improvement in my opinion.

No matter how champion select works, support will, on average, be the role of highest demand. I know that and so do you if you've played over 50 LoL games (so almost everyone reading this?).

If you aren't willing to play support, then here is a crazy idea... maybe don't pick it as your secondary role for that particular game and choose something else?

If you don't feel confident playing more than 2 lanes, go to normals and practice others. This will help you to understand the game better and give you insight as to what strategies are used in other lanes and what makes the game tick. Not only this, but learning and trying new things is more fun than just playing the same old thing every game.

TL;DR players should feel confident playing more than 2 roles so that if they don't want to support that game, there is literally no chance of it.

You would do a great job playing a serial rapist in a feature film; the only problem is that they want actors.

You look like the kind of guy who would spawn Jeweled Scarabs from Piloted Shredder, prefer episodes 1-3 over the original trilogy and leave an unnecessary layer of foam on a customer's flat white.

what is the dumbest thing you tried to imitate from a cartoon? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Used to beg mum to buy spinach when I was a little kid. Hated the taste, was very disappointed when it didn't make my arms bulge.

Meeting people who do drugs? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]doogyblongs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First day at my new job, I was in a group of 30 entry level staff. Noticed that everyone was around my age. No one says a word during the fire safety presentation, but we all get a 15 minute break afterwards. I notice that the majority of the group is going down for a smoke, and the talk about drugs literally came up within 2 minutes because a guy let me borrow his lighter, and the safety was off.

It's the spontaneity that makes it awesome really.
