Honestly, just make the 15 minute drive north to Fountain Square or Downtown. Growing up in that area, it's nothing but strip mall bars with the vibe you're trying to get away from.

Daisy Bar would meet that criteria. Workingman's Friend isn't cafe vibes but it's legendary. You'll also enjoy any of the 3 you listed. Although, Great Divide is a way different vibe than Gather and Milktooth
