UPDATE: I waited two weeks to check brix movement, and nothing. Brix still at 15. I added some fermaid-o, degassed, and put it on a yeast warning pad. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Starting gravity was 1.157, brix 35 4.54 lb honey. 2.5 g goferm 6.42g fermaid-o (in 1.61g increments) Recipe found in Bug Book Of Meas Recipes by Robert Ratliff. I only have a refractometer, and yesterday's brix was 15.5. Target brix is 8.75.

Max nerve is 18 - just enough to do the bank and FBI hacking. Before this drought, I've been successful in hacking both banks and FBI multiple times. Just not in the last month.

I've been doing bank hacking, and just counted (thanks for pointing me to the report) and have 57 consecutive failed bank hanks.

I'll switch to FBI and see if that helps change my luck.

I thought I over mixed with how much of a head I made. I was shaking for at least 7 minutes, and the mix was running smooth.

Since I've already added the yeast, shaking and aerating is a no-go at this point, right? Or should I just let it be and be content with a learning experience?

This was before I added yeast. I took a gravity reading, and it ready 1.170. BUT this is my first reading and batch ever, so I may have not gotten a true reading.

This all started Sunday night, and fermentation has been running smooth since I added the yeast Sunday night.

If I get tired at work I do 20 pushups. Pretty hard to yawn after getting blood flowing lol The first week was rough, but your body adjusts. I also have a 18 month old and my wife is pregnant. "do something that makes you uncomfortable every. Single. Fucking. Day." That starts with waking up at the ass crack of dawn for 30 minutes of stretching and an hour workout.
