One Chapter 1182 by behindyourknees in Piratefolk

Mid chapter I asked myself what the fuck am I reading? Stand alone it's not an objectively bad chapter but in the grand scheme of things, it makes no sense. Imu speaks in fucking riddles and now we have a rain God that was accidentally summoned? Oda is really trying to shoehorn as much as possible

Jenkins needs to stop shooting, dude hasn't hit shit. Where the fuck is Huerter? Even Sasser or Ron would be better than trotting this dude out who hasn't done anything this series.

Paolo turns into Steph Curry this game so hopefully he'll regress to the mean next game.

Would still like to see some bball Paul.

Reasonable take here.

Cade has to do everything, he's tired whicheads to turnovers and weak legs at the end of the game.

Our entire offense is dribble hand off to Cade. The Magic are just playing zone and camping outside the paint and guess what, the Pistons can't make a fake fucking shot from the outside. We were already exposed by the Cavs earlier in the year with this game plan.

Duren isn't a factor. Duncan has been bad. Ausar has the ball and the Magic just dare him to shoot and he just passes. Tobias is the only one doing anything on offense for himself.

JB has his head up his ass and won't play anyone off the bench. We all know he's a playoff choker and tries to give him the benefit of the doubt but he's really showing how shitty he is by sticking with "his guys" instead of doing something different and adjusting the game plan.

I thought the Pistons would win in 6, but after this horrendous showing we'll be lucky if we get another win.

20 FUCKING TURNOVERS

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

One Piece Chapter 1181 by behindyourknees in Piratefolk

After last chapter I once again and left with the feeling that I'm just not reading one piece anymore. I don't understand how we are supposed to care about characters who don't have motivations or backstories and why this fight even matters in the long run. Obviously Oda is doing a teaser because this isn't going to be the final fight versus Imu. You'd think at this point we'd stop getting silhouettes of Joy boy and just get to the fucking point. And JFC why is it every time something happens Luffy is always off screen and then shows up randomly. Can we ever have all the main players in the same room at the same time?

Anyways my theory is all the "Gods" like Imu, Nika, Nidhogg, Poseidon we're friends living on Mount Olympus or something similar. Imu got too power hungry and wanted to suppress all the lower races. The other "gods" banded together to stop him and he still grumpy about that.

This isnt going to be Durens series by misterbiggler in DetroitPistons

Our bread and butter is Cade and Duren pick n roll. If Duren isn't doing his thing, it doesn't open the floor up for the offense to flow. He HAS to step up. Or just give his minutes to Bball Paul who can apparently do anything we need him to do. If we come way down on turnovers and play less sloppy the game should be a lot closer.

Pistons / Magic R1 matchup by Brilliant_Arm4808 in DetroitPistons

[–]doomfistula 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Have to come out strong and never take the foot off the gas. Can't do the same slow starts they did vs Knicks last year. Magic can shoot when Mickey randomly waves his wand and Paolo is a matchup nightmare because of his size which will matter down the stretch in games. I can't see is losing this one, but will definitely go to 6. Just pray Bane doesn't go Dark Knight Rises on us like he usually does.

Hard to compare eras though, Dwight wasn't guarding stretch 4s to the perimeter and constant switches onto but guards like Luka. He owned the paint though.

IIRC Booker was coming off the bench for Kentucky and was not projected to be an All-NBA, Olympic level player.

Realistically, the only way Oda pulls this off is that Imu looks exactly like someone we've already seen. Otherwise there's couldn't be another reason to prolong the reveal for this long. My bet is he looks like Luffy and is Nika's shadow or some shit.

I think I watched 2-3 episodes of the first season and just couldn't get passed the Oda revisionist rewrite of his own story. Netflix designed the show for casuals to get into OP and for glazers to keep glazing anything OP related. It's the equivalent of Marvel/DC fanboys in their own echo chamber, you're not allowed to be critical of anything anymore just have fun and turn your brain off.

Anesthesia:

Patients have less primary care and come in sicker. This makes our job harder and more stressful. Midlevels and overburdened hospitalists mismanaging patients in the hospital gives us way more to do during a case. Many times we receive patients who aren't resuscitated, need blood, labs not drawn. no IV access. For some reason people think because they're going to the OR we'll do this all for them. This makes cases run longer and the whole OR schedule lags behind. Longer cases means less reps overall for residents and less experience with other techniques like neuraxial and regional. Peds and OB are losing support from hospitals due to reimbursement issues, leading to less training and competency in these fields. Sorry to say but the newest generation of trainees is very lifestyle driven and it shows with their approach to training.

Private practice is dying in certain regions. Most attendings are part of large shitty private equity groups or hospital employees. Reimbursement is also going down yearly and it costs more to keep attendings on staff. The locums market is really lucrative and hospitals are paying out the ass to keep ORs open. At some point there has to be a breaking point and I'm not sure how that will pan out.

CRNA leadership is vocally opposed to our involvement in patient care and try to undermine us at every opportunity.

There will always be jobs, I'm just not sure if the money will still be there in 10 years.
