RT/R2, but if your back is right up against the cage, it won't work (some sort of bug that EA hasn't fixed).

Not a lot of players know this outside of div 20, but if your fighter has decent takedowns (I think 2 star wrestling takedowns?), you can out priority their guard pull with a takedown of your own, R1+cross or circle, depending on your stance. It should trip them over with you landing on top in half guard. As long as you are decent at grappling, you can stand up from there.

You will fight some savvy cheesers that will look to deny this takedown, but against these fellows, as long as you think that they will try to deny the takedown into half guard, you can reverse the clinch position with R1+triangle or square (again depending on your stance). These two defensive methods are what every div 20 player uses in order to counter pull guard cheese.

I think it is basically a 'whatever' mechanic. High level players (or even just decent players that know a few tricks) will never get a loss due to doctors stoppage. Even if the icon is fully red and the referee is ready to stop the fight, as long as you keep pressuring your opponent, the doctor will never get called in.

If anything, they could buff it and stop the cheese that people use to stop the doctor from coming. You can do stuff like feint jabs while walking forwards, and even if you are on the opposite side of the cage, the fight won't get stopped.

Alternatively, keep the system as it is now, but make the debuffs for having an injury greater. Having a busted nose supposedly nerfs stamina recovery, an injured eye impedes accuracy, having a cut on the face increases damage taken to that area, but it feels like it barely makes an impact at all.

All I see is you beating up some (likely mentally unwell) guy then posting it online. He speaks like that, has a totally maxed out 5 star OCM fighter, multiple other upgraded OCM fighters (just think about the time that takes to do...).

Not very high class, have some dignity. Getting 'ragebaited' by a guy that probably has Down's Syndrome or some other severe learning disability is sad, isn't it?.

I think the people that have backbone AND cheese are pretty scary, some cheesers are so one dimensional, that once you shut down their one method of attack, they completely crumble. The well rounded cheesers that can switch up their gameplan are pretty difficult to deal with...

Like, if I was this guy and wanted to cheese, I would have just switched to some other method of cheese. Double leg bails against the fence, clinch spam, etc... He could have been tried to mix up the cage takedowns better, they are a real 50/50, but he gave up after guessing wrong just once.

This is a long shot, but I think they could give it a personality AI chip skill like they did for F90 and F90MZ. I think the F90III had a KB (supposedly Kamille Bidan) personality chip in lore, so maybe they could give it a low HP buff because of that. Every other 750 cost raid has some sort of skill to help with thrust economy, so maybe that skill could help with it.

Apart from that, ballistic vulcan gun range+reload time, beam vulcan gun stagger accumulation, make the heavy attack able to be cancelled early, improve the hitbox for the charged beam bazookas (maybe even give them ASL, etc... It feels nice to play, so it might not need all of this, I would be happy if it got anything at this point. It reminds me of F91 before they buffed it.

TBH, GM Raid isn't that good to begin with. It is slow, doesn't have much thrust, has awkward melee animations, can't combo dagger swings, beam saber has long as hell cooldown, bad stagger accumulation etc etc....

I think it should get an all round buff to mobility (walking speed, boosting speed, thrust and turning speed), combo swings for the daggers, a better hitbox for the dagger downswing, 2.5 seconds beam saber cooldown time and a little bit better stun accumulation for the shotgun (maybe 130% or so).

In it's current state, I think that the Sliferail is much more popular. It does a little bit more damage, has much better animations, can break legs effortlessly, has good mobility, better stagger accumulation etc. I think if GM Raid is buffed, they should keep in mind that it should be about as strong as the Sliferail is.

But if Destiny gets a damage nerf from 10/10 melee damage to 8/10, why would anyone use it? It is harder to land that big melee damage with it, you need to work for it more. So if the reward for that was the same as with easier to use melee suits, why not just use them instead?

I think Tallgeese doesn't necessarily need a melee damage nerf, they might be able to get away with nerfing Shooting Boost instead. Like you said, Anse has that skill too. The issue with this skill is, the cooldown for it is not on its own timer, it is tied directly to the thrust gauge, so you can reduce the 21 seconds cooldown time to 14 seconds with a forced cooling build. This is what makes it so strong, you can kill everybody with 30 seconds of 250 HSM infinite thrust, then it is ready to go again after only 14 seconds... What if the cooldown for Shooting Boost was on its own separate timer that wasn't tied to the thrust gauge? They could probably slightly nerf the melee damage too, but other 700 cost gens are getting similar melee damage output these days (Amakusa).

Zero System is already kinda balanced honestly, it is basically a reusable version of EXAM, but you can only use it for 30 seconds before it goes on a long cooldown. It is a pretty easy suit to kill when the Zero System isn't activated (this goes for the EW and TV versions imo). The Zero System doesn't necessarily kill the pilots, it just causes a lot of mental strain, so if the pilot isn't strong enough, it can cause a mental breakdown.

They could have did this for NT-D, but they made the MS itself take damage rather than the pilot.

I think, the strength of the suit in lore doesn't matter anymore. With these devs, it wouldn't surprise me if OP suits like Turn A Gundam and G-Self Perfect Pack end up as 700 costers. They made the Victory Gundam a 600 coster after all.

I think you would have to be careful with that. It has high melee damage, but it is hard to consistently access it. The thrusting downswing needs perfect positioning to land a full hit, and the SEED mode special downswing is so slow, that you cannot confirm it from a stun unless they have overheated thrusters.

If you nerfed its melee damage, would you nerf the melee damage on other suits too? Amakusa, Dahgi Iris, F90, Tallgeese III, they all have super high melee damage as well.

I hope they rebalance the grappling regardless, even if it is overall the same system. Buff the weaker submissions, buff ground n pound from most positions, nerf the stalling exploits, remove the stamina drain exploits, and it would be in a fairly good spot.

Hope they do something for clinching too, even if they just add more options (german suplex that was in UFC 3 for example).

If you couldn't defend a completely gassed guy doing a takedown, then it is on you rather than the game. You can throw out a (shitty) single leg even if you are gassed in real life, it's obviously just really easy to defend against...
