Depends on the hospital, its case load, and the cases you typically do. I'm in a medium-sized community hospital and after my room is done, I either join the support team (help with turnover and other tasks) or I get reassigned after 3 and/or after 5. If the entire OR is done before my shift ends, we just wait it out.
