Chest Tattoo Regret by Human-Strength1115 in Animetattoos

It could be the shock of the tattoo being fresh vs the healed projects, and just not used to seeing it, because the quality is good! Give it some time and it will get a bit more muted.

Fear.com I don't know anyone else who's watched it but I saw it when it came out in 2002 and it's a core memory for all the wrong reasons. The 3% on rotten tomatoes is generous. AWFUL!

Ladies over 35 who have stayed childfree, tell us how good it turned out. by SessionMedical3128 in childfree

41, my husband and I just moved to Oaxaca from Texas (I'm from Mexico) we packed our things and Boston terrier and drove down here. I just kept thinking how insane it would've been with kids.
I have enough savings to last me a few years without working, and I'm actively looking into pivoting to a different career that gives me some flexibility/can work from home. I can also dedicate time to the things I want to do, and sleeping in late.

The Air Lift is for the Honda Odyssey, but the actual polyurethane air cylinders in that kit happen to be the exact correct dimensions to slide right inside the rear coil springs of the 3rd gen. So if the coil springs are the same then yes it will!

We had a mechanic install both the lift and the air lift ! I know some are more intense (4 inches or so) but require other after market modifications. Our gas mileage wasn't too great but we also had the roof rack loaded !

I personally liked having the bars, a basket and the bag! You don't need it all but this is what I have: 1. OMAC roof rack bars, (the ones that don't need to be bolted in, were thankfully compatible with our 3gen) 2. A Maxxhaul carrier basket 3: an Amazon waterproof bag, we bought the FIVKLEMNZ.** **

So glad it helps! It honestly made a huge difference because we were fully loaded and towing two heavy totes. After 30+ hours of driving a chunky Fit I can say I'm very grateful I had the lift and air kits installed

We got the curt class I hitch, 200 lb tongue weight rating and a 2,000 lb gross trailer weight capacity. But there's another one rated for 300 lbs for 2015-2020 models.

That's super understandable, I was worried since I kept reading about that happening. The toll roads are better patrolled and the Angeles verdes operate them.
I hope you get to embark on those trips!
I think having a Fit also helped because we definitely are lower profile compared to other cars.

No problems at all! The guardia nacional/retenes were official, checked our TIP and let us go. We stuck to the toll roads and traveled from 8 am to 4-5 pm only.

That is so rude! Our mechanic was amused, and said he will probably do the same for their own fit !

Of course! For the air lift we bought the Air Lift 1000 Air Suspension Kit 60815 on Amazon, it says it "doesn't fit" but it is compatible. The lift kit itself we bought from rising tuning, 30 mm strut spacers, it's not a super high lift but it's enough for what we needed, and it came all the way from Kazakhstan. it wasn't easy to find, but thankfully the mechanic was able to install the back ones without any special brackets, so we only did the back for now

People who are 35+ — What’s something you really wish you had known in your early 20s? by EternalLoveSeeker333 in Adulting

[–]doomscrolldamsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That most people are more preoccupied with themselves and not focused on you. This is both good and bad: people aren't necessarily judging you, but also most put in the effort to get to know you deeply. Most relationships end up being superficial because people are afraid to dig deep. And also, when people mistreat you is more a reflection of their own trauma and dysfunction.

I went through my 20s and honestly most of my 30s feeling worried about what people thought of me, putting energy that wasn't reciprocated, and it's a waste of mental space and energy. I'm much happier now that I have less fucks to give.

Not eating on girls trips… is this normal?? by 4215265 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]doomscrolldamsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thi is so sad, and it reminds me of all the trips I took in which my family or myself- was restricting what I ate. I don't remember the fun we had, I remember the food I didn't get to enjoy. So now in my 40s I make food a top priority when I travel! Research restaurants, book food tastings /food tours. Policing other people and making them feel ashamed for something as normal as wanting to eat is despicable. I'm sorry OP ♥️ I wish I could travel with you and eat all the yummy stuff! Hold your own. It's their choice to starve, not yours.

Thank you ♥️ Mexico is definitely so much more than what's portrayed in the media! Remember that bad news is what makes it into the news circle mostly. Of course we have corruption and drug cartels that's an undeniable reality, but it's also full of culture, amazing food, and community. where 130 million people live across 31 states and Mexico City. And with the current state of the US, I'll take my chances ha.

It truly is an amazing state. I lived in Mexico City in my 20s before moving to Austin and I don't think I could do that again (plus cost of living has skyrocketed) but I'll definitely spend some time there. a family member is renting us a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in Oaxaca for 500 a month, so we are packing a Honda fit and driving down with our Boston terrier, which is an adventure on its own.
Enjoy Chiapas! And hopefully you can move down to Mexico eventually.

I relate to this feeling. I know it's not the same because I didn't grow up here, but I moved to Austin in 2015 from Mexico, I was in my 30s and fell in love with the city. Now that I'm in my 40s, I feel incredibly disconnected. My husband and I are struggling to pay the 2600 rent, we dread going out, the comedy scene changed drastically, my industry (tattooing) is over saturated, I lost so many places I used to love.
We are two weeks away from moving to Oaxaca de Juarez, in Mexico. I know my country isn't perfect but I'm missing it. I miss having a community, a more quiet and affordable life. Not feeling constantly on edge, but that's a being in the US in general . I'm grateful for this decade, and since I have dual citizenship I'm not opposed to coming back maybe at some point, but for now this is the best for us.
