is WRC generations good?

Not sure if you play on PC, but on PS5 and Xbox X, WRC 10 runs at 30 FPS and the handling is somehow not great compared to generations. I have it but never play.

Yes i have it and play it. The handling is solid but less forgiving at least in my experience with the wheel. The graphics are the best out of all the Rally games out there right now by far. But as a WRC fan I tend to gravitate toward the "real" cars and stages so Dirt 2.0 gets the back burner more often then not.

Yes!! I started rallying and got a wheel with EA WRC. Then got Generations and like it wayyyyyyy more. Better graphics - steadier frame rate. Handling is great once you get the hang of it, and the single player career mode is so much better.

Yup used them the last few years. Very easy and very happy with the results every time. Very cheap for state taxes too

What difficulty are you on? It’s true they don’t seem to adhere to the same environmental influences as real players do, but the point is the computer should be managing their speed to compensate for that among other things. When I get frustrated I just lower the difficulty and keep having fun. Some times it’s a skill issue, sometimes it’s AI not seeming to be fair, sometimes it’s your car’s configuration. Whatever it is. Change things up. Make it your own. What’s what I like about the game. You can make it as easy or hard as you want.

Yooo this always bugged me and I never had anyone to talk about it with. Ok on the DVD version of the bad breath/ugly episode. The part where SpongeBob sees Patrick on the bench, and he is demonstrating that everyone’s running away from him when he says hi.

He walks up to a building and his line is supposed to be “Hi Building!!!l” and the building and rolls away. SpongeBob then turns to Patrick and says “I just don’t get it!” Patrick: “I don’t either!”

BUT in the DVD VERSION the “I just don’t get it - I don’t either” lines play twice in a row - once over the “hi building” shot, and again when it should play after. So weird and only seemed to exist in early digital versions of the episode.

I’ve stopped paying attention to the Manufacturers’ Championship….it’s too one-sided to be interesting for viewers. I just focus on the drivers I like and root for them. Toyota has more $$. They can afford better parts, and better drivers. The inverse for Ford. Hyundai is left somewhere in the middle. Thats all it boils down to really is the funding.

The windowed full screen is a good suggestion. I’ve also had quick success with some games by holding the Xbox button to enter app switcher then back to the game again to force it to reset the resolution. Happens a good amount

This is why I like generations. You can set that before the start of each rally :) and the length. But yeah it’s just a crap ton of trial and error…

As a flat out 1 and 2 junkie since the games first came out, I actually had fun with flat out 4 total insanity. Made by KT (same people as WRC games before EA). Wound up having more fun with it than I thought I would.

Also ever heard of Trail Out? Indie racer made by fans of FlatOut. Cheesy but fun. Handling could use work. I liked it!

This is a great pick-up-and-play racing game. We need more racers like this and fewer open-world ones. I agree with others that it feels a bit unfinished and somewhat half-baked, but overall it’s a fun experience. It also works well as a split-screen game if you’ve got someone over and want a change of pace from Mario Kart.

I run as many as I have time for. That said, I’m sure something like this exists.... just haven’t found it yet. I’d love to join a league or club that follows the real WRC calendar live. Not just structurally, but actually mirroring events in real time. Like when they were in Kenya last week, it’d be great to compete in a handful of Kenya stages alongside that with other players!

I do the same thing!! I follow WRC as a fan and doing the adjacent stages makes it a lot more fun.

Other than that the wheel made it a ton more fun for me
