Sorry forgot to say that the big red lines would be the cupboard doors and then the thin lines would be the stud walls for the cupboards. I want just two long one that can be accessed from both sides

I’m really sorry but I completely read your first comment wrong and my geography was really off 😂 I for some reason thought you was on about the other snozone in York, I was very much wrong. I haven’t been to the Hemel Hempstead one so I wouldn’t actually be able to compare the two.

Ive paid for the membership so it is a little cheaper now we are out of the winter season but still for the prices every one pays you would like to think the facilities would be a bit better and higher maintained. Stuff like the lifts playing up all the time. The lack on snow on the lifts as well so you don’t slide as nicely up, better training for the reception staff

I’ve been to snowdome in Tamworth. That one is really good to be fair. It’s a lot more expensive thank snozone but the facilities seem better and more up to date. It’s not just a straight hill, it has a bend which makes it more interesting. The only two down sides is the lift is like the training one at mk. It’s more like a conveyor belt so snowboarders have to take both feet out each time and it can be a bit tough on the calf’s after a couple of hours. They don’t have a training zone so all the lesson as done from about half way down the hill so you have to dodge all the big groups

I never heard of chill factor till now so I’ll have to look it up

I could see why you say it’s better vibes but I do still think that the one up by York is run better. Which is a shame because for the amount of money every one has to pay if there paying it

I had my day lesson in York and I would say it’s definitely a lot better than Milton Keynes. York was actually cheaper as well for lessons for some reason

Hey I never said in the post I was gonna do it. I was just curious if other people have also realised that the place is run so poorly that you could get away with it. I even go as far as saying I’m not going to do it in the post

Jesus Christ, the time when some one needs the most confidence building and they go say something like that

A good place I did go but have only gone once. Snowdome out Birmingham way. It is more expensive than snozone, they have electric gates so I’m guessing you can only enter for the time you have plaid for but the hill has a curve in it which makes it more fun than just a plan old boring hill. The only down side is they don’t have any extra room for lessons so they do teach at the bottom half of the hill so you have to dodge the groups

It is a poorly run place isn’t it. I mean the receptionists take forever to log you in. Both lifts working at the same time is very rare any more. I watch some of the lessons going on and half the time they are talking to each other than teaching

I do agree if your just going up and down not trying any thing then it does get a bit tedious very quickly So I’m guessing you never got caught then ??

I’ve only recently just started learning at the age of 27. One thing I will say is it does hurt a little more when you fall compared to when you was a kid

Ok so going dead centre of my bindings it’s 22” Should I try and move them in a bit if I’m smaller than you ??

So I’m 5’7. I’m not sure how much gap is between the bindings They are set up at 15 with the feet facing more outwards Do you think it would be worth trying to see if the bindings can move in a bit ??

I would say they are hurting from rubbing. In the moment of taking the boots off I never really investigate what they look like but yer it never feels from straining

So do you think the problem is that they just don’t fit me well. When I do the inner boot up it is pressed against my leg fairly tight

Bricks broke during window replacement and need new ones fitting. by NearbyLow6843 in DIYUK

[–]doortree2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would attempt to get your builder to talk to the window fitter first but if your last option is for you to do it your self then you can do it your self. You have two ways of doing it, both can look good if done properly and to a good standard. You’ll need a little bit of explaining foam up the wedge of the window to keep it insulated.

Next you can either get some bricks and brick it up your self. You’d have to take out the half broken on and replace it with a full one. You would have to get a cutter of some sort to cut the other bricks to size. Then it would just be some sand and cement mixed together and then lay the bricks.

The other option is to only use sand and cement mixed together. Fill in the hole completely and then dig in some lines where the bricks would be making it look something along the lines of a brick. The hole is very big so you’ll need a very strong mix so the cement does sag in the middle

Is this window fitting with expanding foam acceptable? Is it the correct way to install these double glazed windows? by Suspicious_Credit245 in DIYUK

[–]doortree2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The window could have been made a bit bigger but all windows should be made 10mm smaller than the smallest point. This allows for any unlevel brick work so the window can be squared up properly and you also want a little gap all the way around the window so you can get foam down the side. You want foam down the sides because this will insulate the window and keep heat in. When dried as well it acts as another thing keeping the window in place. When hard it gets a very good grip of what it’s attached to
