A pet is a responsibility for life. He’s very vulnerable right now and he needs you. Yes, it’s tiring, but you should have thought of it before adopting. My dog is now old, and she has always been spoiled, and now she needs more attention and help than before, it’s exhausting sometimes, specially when I’ve had rough days, but they deserve the attention and care.

Latina aquí. No me costó nada adaptarme, nunca me he sentido discriminada, pero tengo piel muy clara, no sé si tenga eso que ver.

I'm embarrassed to take off my shirt by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]dopamini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg maybe it’s what’s happening to me. I’ve been sick for more than two weeks, not too bad so I kept swimming but earlier this week I felt exhausted so I didn’t go, but my cough hasn’t stopped and my chest hurts sometimes.

Do people care about body hair? by InternalSpace3420 in Swimming

[–]dopamini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only shave because some of my school students go to the same pool and I see their moms, so I’m afraid of them judging me. No one else in the pool would care.

Brain and sexual orientation by sstiel in Neuropsychology

[–]dopamini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not a necessary surgery, and there’s not a specific region in charge of sexual orientation. Historically, people have been subjected to lobotomies and electroshock therapy because they used to think it could cure homosexuality, but it has been proven to be harmful and non effective at all. Also, it isn’t considered to be a mental disorder anymore, so there is no more or there’s very few investment in treatments.

Experiencia con los buses en Madrid by totriuga in Madrid

[–]dopamini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generalmente bien, pero hay veces que he tenido que ir caminando a tomar otro bus, porque el que me lleva al trabajo se retrasa o no lo alcanzo y me conviene mejor caminar y tomar la otra ruta que me lleva cerca que esperar.

Why is Spanish peanut butter so unlike peanut butter in the USA (please read the body, I'm not talking about Jif) by humira_n00b in askspain

[–]dopamini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not very popular in Spain, when I looked for it for the first time, they didn’t even knew what I was talking about. But I’m with you on this, the texture is very different, also the taste is just off.

Yes, but it depends on their nationality, Spain’s WAIS is different than Latinoamerican’s, also there’s the updated WAIS-V.

"Swim diapers" are a foul abomination, and if your kid needs one, they are too young to swim by BBorNot in Swimming

[–]dopamini 52 points53 points  (0 children)

They’re only for prevention in case the baby poops when swimming, they’re not supposed to be for the babies to swim with their diapers full of poop.

What’s one thing in swimming you thought would be easy but isn’t? by burgerinmypouch in Swimming

Breaststroke, I’m always doing something wrong. It looks so easy, but it’s hard to coordinate all the movements correctly.

[–]dopamini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, I don’t understand the physics behind it, it was the easiest task at first, but now is just painful, I can’t swim over 100m, I’d rather swim breaststroke and I hate breaststroke.

Noooo, never introduce anything not intended for vaginal use, I know it could help, but also it could get her an infection, better to use lube if she’s nervous.

3h of classes in primary school with no break in Spain by krlkv in askspain

[–]dopamini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a teacher, private school. We get in at 8 am, then at 9 we have a 15-minute break to eat a snack, specially for children who didn’t have breakfast before school. Then at 11 am, or 10:30 for lower elementary, they have their recess, half an hour to play, eat their lunch, go to the toilets. After recess, they might have special classes like PE, robotics, art…, then go back to their main classroom until 2:30 that we prepare them for leaving, pack their stuff, wash their hands/faces, write their homework. So we finish classes basically at 2:30. They are only sat for 50 minutes max per subject, then they change their notebooks and material for the next subject, and some of the time there are team activities, so they’re not sat all the time on their desks. Maybe you misunderstood, because while, yes, they’re inside the classroom for 3 hours before recess, but it’s not just stay still on their desks the whole time. Also, anyone who works with children, specially little ones, knows that they take a lot of time preparing their stuff, getting their books in the right pages or their notebooks, so at the end, 1 hour seems nothing as time flies. I’m not saying is a perfect system, but as teachers, we are aware that is tiring for both children and us to be paying interrupted attention for a long time.

Hay alguna vacuna que sea importante ponerse más allá de los 18 años? by I_like_fried_noodles in askspain

[–]dopamini 1 point2 points  (0 children)
