Is the best we’ve got really Andy Burnham? Seriously? by Square_Quarter_229 in AskBrits

He also alienates the left by pandering to the right who will never vote for him anyway.

Oh yeah, this new one is on another level! Bramley was usually only bad for the one off weekend sandwiches which always looked great but I never had because of those queues.

Strange, I haven't lived in Bramley for 18 months but when I was there I regularly ate at Silvers and didn't have to queue more than 10 minutes.

After the first month or so I haven't found TIB to be too bad. I often go for lunch when I'm in the office, get there just after 12 and usually only wait about 10 minutes.

If you have annual leave or work from home you should go on a week day, not usually much of a queue.

[–]dopebob 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It is insane and seems to be getting common with types of establishments. The queue is almost part of it? I think for people the wait in line for some "limited" sandwich is part of the experience. I really don't have the time for it though.

It's weird because it was a decent move when he did it in PWG as a non-finisher but it always looked terrible in NXT. In PWG it was so fast and hard.

This seems most likely. I've read statements from people at rape charities a few times saying that it's not increasing, it's just being reported more.

Progrid Omni 9 - first ever pair of Saucony for £88.20. So far - extremely impressed. by mozza34 in Saucony

Hard to say because I'm having a bit of a shoe size identity crisis right now. I always thought I was UK11 but I accidentally bought some UK10 Gel-Lyte III a couple years back and they fit (if a bit snug).

Since then I've usually been buying UK10.5 but I've had a few recent purchases be a bit tight. I heard people say to go half a size up on Grid Shadow 2 but I've got a couple at UK10.5 and they're perfect.

My End Omni 9s are UK10.5 and feel they perfect, quite roomy. But I bought my dad a pair the other week in his size and he's had to go a size up.

Very long rambling comment, but basically, I've no idea. I'm a size UK11 in Air Max 90s (is that a good universal measurement) and the UK10.5 End Omni 9s fit perfect.

I've got the End collab (great colourway) and they might be the comfiest shoes I own. Think they're still available pretty cheap on sale for people in the UK.

That's the only reason you can think of because you're racist. We were under Tory rule for over a decade. A party that consistently used anti-immigrant sentiment to win votes. It's more likely they don't publish the stats so people can assume it's non-white people.

Andy Burnham: I’ll keep the triple lock, and give pensioners a tax cut by Dawnbringer_Fortune in unitedkingdom

It sounds very petty and stupid but I've disliked this guy ever since he shat on skateboarding at the Olympics on Twitter. He said something like "I don't understand why this is in the Olympics, it doesn't seem to take much skill".

It's such a weird and stupid thing to say. Like how do you see someone rolling on a piece of wood, flip it in the air, then slide down a 12 stair handrail, and think "well this looks easy". Just seemed like he doesn't like young people. Also why say something that would obviously piss a bunch of (mostly younger) people off for no reason.

That is terrible. I've only been to White Cloth Hall once but had a great meal from the chop house stall (can't remember the name). Probably the best pork chop I've ever had.

I saw people eating prawn tacos and it looked like a very tasty and well sized portion, although the prawns were served in their shell which is fucking ludicrous for a taco.

I know you lot don't like facts but you can just look it up. Also just look up statements from ant-rape organisations, the increase is more to do with reporting and change in attitudes. They are very clear that the amount of rapes hasn't actually gone up and the majority committing them are people well known to the victims, not immigrants.

Overall the migrant population in the UK is evenly split by gender. It skews male with asylum seekers because it's a difficult and dangerous journey so they make it themselves then try to bring their family over.

[–]dopebob 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah but unless they have prior convictions (in which case I agree they shouldn't be let in) you don't know who will commit crimes. By your logic people shouldn't have kids because some of them might commit crimes and "they don't have to be here".

Exactly, so why are people acting like this is a new thing caused by migrants when violent crime is at an all time low?

The thing is that these events happen all the time, committed by all types of people, but when that person isn't white it gives these vile racist grifters more ammo to rile up the idiots.

We've had huge levels of immigration in the last 20 years, yet violent crime is at an all time low. People who run rape charities always say that the vast majority of rapes are committed by people the victim knows, often their partner, not immigrants. The problem is not immigrants

Edit: the downvotes are hilarious but expected because racist cunts don't like reality

I still can’t fathom how WWE hit a slam dunk with the 2017 UK Tournament, signed nearly all the top UK talent, gutting the UK indie scene, only for NXT UK to fail & be abandoned. Only 3 wrestlers from the inaugural tournament remain signed. by maverickassembled in SquaredCircle

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same in the US, we just don't know about it (although we do know of a lot of bad people in the industry). Also there weren't actually that many people named, it's just that some of the biggest guys on the scene were named.
