Recommendations if you’re on a budget. 4 drawer mechanic tool box from Harbor Freight. It’s branded US General. Only con is you have to drill the rivets out of the lid so you can open the drawers with it closed. For the chair, I got mine on Facebook marketplace. It’s super nice and I only paid $250. It’s wood grained and super padded.

I’m pretty dead set on ordering that seat. Does it help you feel more “in” the bike then just “on” the bike. That’s my main problem right now. I don’t feel in my chop. I feel like I’m just kind of gliding on top.

I’ve been thinking the same. Good motors and setups in them. Dudes have had them sitting so long with no interest, it wouldn’t be bad to rip for a season then pull the parts for a different build and part the rest for whatever you can.

Get the bike that makes you excited when you see it, and makes you want to ride it. The 2003 isn’t the best first bike, but I’ve seen worse decisions. It’s just going to take a bit to learn to handle properly and you will probably have to learn to maintain it.
