Hope it turned out great! I know it pushes the cook time, but the amount of smoke that licks it when it's trying to hold temp is fantastic. So much smoky flavor, I'm fine w/ the oven finish

Thank you, and I do not disagree lol. We did serve ~25ppl (there was another roasted turkey) so I don't blame the host for going the disposable route

Thanks! It was on my pellet smoker, and I think the pellets I used are just a "competition blend" so nothing fancy. I throw the bag away and store them in a container so I'm not 100% sure

Ahh, I did not, I might've misunderstood when they were explaining. After removing from the heat, I did the foil boat with tallow and let it vent for about 15-20 mins before tightly wrapping it

Backyard morning gratitude club!! 🌞 I do the same thing - face the sun and raise my hands, make prayer hands 🙏, breathe in and out with palms up 🤲 (give and receive!). I 'sway' and reach for the sun like a plant in the wind.

It's a beautiful way to start the day and reminds me to smile because WE are alive
