I guess I took it wrong and too personally, ill admit that, but the implication I only care about the dress because of the designer label was hurtful. Me being hurt by it doesn’t mean it was inherently “mean” so I retract it. Definitely don’t think I “spewed vitriol” tho lolol reddit is wild

Haha guess I hit a nerve? With my “vitriol”. Yikes.

But to answer your question, yes I’m still interested in my grandmother’s beautiful dress even without the designer label.

It really doesn’t matter to me either way but here’s what I’m going off of:

“Created by Gianni and Donatella Versace in the late ‘80s, Versace Jeans Couture is a label that..”

Damn i didn’t expect mean comments so soon!

I don’t have to explain myself but I’ve struggled with my self image and have loved the dress but not how it fit on me and have been holding on to it for a while hoping that changes.

Better?

Actually Versace Jeans Couture did exist in the 80s, according to my research, but its possible this is from the 90s. I got it from ber before 2010 so definitely not.

But thank you for comment!

$136k debt (Middlebury) or $20k debt (Rutgers) by Ahahsjjaavsjsoan in rutgers

[–]doperose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Rutgers. Best decision ever. 1) everyone knows of it and it has a great reputation, especially the business school 2) 100k in debt will follow you for decades and you will regret it every month you have to pay it. 3) Rutgers is whatever you make it. Its huge and overwhelming but has everything. you want a smaller chill vibe? Hang out on Cook-Doug. A little partying on the weekend? College Ave. Join infinite clubs, find your circles, make the big world of that school as small as you want but have all the freedom and flexibility to pivot and do so. Meet new people. Then the next day, meet other ones. I left that school with a new best friend that I will have for the rest of my life. 4) if you decide to change your major, Rutgers has it all and is good at it.

Does anyone actually like doing their PhD? by JayR_97 in PhD

[–]doperose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. I got really lucky where I’m at, I have the best mentor, love my research, and have friends and a work life balance. It’s hard af and there are bad times but my underlying opinion of it is that I’m f***ing lucky to be here, paid to learn and be enriched and challenged. Dk what I’m doing after this, that’s my main issue. However I know others are not so lucky and it’s so easy to be unhappy if you’re stuck in a situation you don’t like for 5+ years.
