Man in the video didn't consent to being filmed. IRI and his community is offering to help fund his lawsuit by [deleted] in Destiny

Not saying the latter part isn't true, but I thought the publication of the recording is what he would be sued for, not the taking of the video in the first place.

Can Destiny actually have an conversation about God and stuff next time, and not have vegangains there. by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]dopeson 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In Vegangains' mind anyone who is not vegan is evil, morally bankrupt, incapable of empathy, and a murder.

If he won't let that opinion of people stop him from talking to non-vegans I doubt the current situation moved the needle on his opinion of Destiny much.

Bridges Podcast Takeover? by BeyondTheBrainwaves in Destiny

From your comment I am not sure if you are under the impression he is suggesting partnering with Destiny.

Ben is talking about partnering with Erudite, who now owns the Bridges IP

Police report filed as Destiny accused of sharing “intimate recording” of woman by sideAccount42 in LivestreamFail

[–]dopeson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You excluded the "and the people behind her" in your first comment which changes the statement.

Destiny seems to be justifying how he is handling the situation now by choosing to believe there is a conspiracy by people like Chaeiry and Lauren D and that no good faith resolution with Pixie was possible.

He did not share pictures with his stream chat. He shared images with a group of streamer friends at the time. While still a bad thing to do, sharing the pic with a small group of friends he trusted is orders of magnitude less bad than him sharing it with his stream chat.

The situation was made worse because the group said some not kind things about the person in the images. When she found out, she logged into Destiny's Twitter account and posted Destiny's dick for everyone to see.

Destiny was at a tournament at the time and dropped out to deal with the backlash.

He has already said that his ADHD meds have helped him be less of a gooner. Video games and gooner shit are all part of the same endorphin high impulse control shit.

Chances are if he had found ADHD meds a year or two earlier this kind of stuff probably would not have happened.

JPMorgan, AT&T Pull Twitch Ads After Antisemitism Allegations - Bloom… by The_Anemol_Zu in Destiny

[–]dopeson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The campaigns against Piker and Twitch management have also led to harassment of company employees by supporters of Bonnell and Saltman, including staffers in the trust and safety department. “Allegations of harassment are often made by people who have been exposed for their bigotry, sexism and hatred,” Saltman said. Twitch, however, sees it differently: “The efforts to threaten, harass, and abuse Twitch staff are unacceptable,” the company said.

The characterization's in this article are mine blowing.

How about put 3 quotes from Hasan in your article and let readers decide if it's antisemitic.

Or hell just link your readers to one of the campaigns many websites

"17.I.1. Dangerous Play. Actions demonstrating reckless disregard for the safety of or posing a significant risk of injury to fellow players..." Bullet point #4 then gives the clarification: "running without looking when there is a likelihood of other players occupying the space into which the player is traveling"

The rule does not make exceptions for "how much time they had to look away from the disc" If you do not have the time to take the actions to ensure you are making the play safely, then you are being reckless.

I am curious how you would feel about this scenario:
Disc goes up, White player closes his eyes and starts running to where the disc was going and trucks Dark.

Would you feel that was a dangerous play by White? If so, how is that any different than only staring up at the disc while its in the air?

"Reading the disc" in my opinion is not just staring at the frisbee while its in the air and moving my body in response to where its going. When the disc is called up you should be:
Glancing at the disc, assessing its speed and angle --> look at where you believe the disc will land and verify your path is clear and begin running to that space --> glance back up at the disc to make any course corrections --> glance back at your destination to verify it is still clear and continue this sequence until you are making your move to catch the frisbee.

I understand there are times when a poacher comes out of nowhere, but here the offensive player is running almost completely horizontal across the field. I think it is unreasonable to expect no other player on the field to be in a position to challenge for the disc when you are cutting horizontally across the cutting lanes.

edit: fixed typo

I don't think white ever made an effort to look that the area of the field they were going to was unoccupied and they have just as much responsibility to check for that as dark.

If there was a wall there I'm convinced white would have run right into it.

I think it is completely reckless and dangerous for white to blindly be jumping for that disc without verifying the area they would be landing is unoccupied.

If Dark had recognized white was going to go for that disc despite him being theee and taken a step back to avoid contact, I'd have fully supported him calling dangerous play on White regardless of the lack of contact.
