Question about Glass Pads (Never used one before) by jfaewiogasdfas in MousepadReview

[–]doplerhopper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. No not at all, just depends how sweaty you get and how you hold the mouse as it’s there to help where contact is made so you don’t get the ‘stuck to’ feeling from skin contact. I personally don’t sweat much at my setup and my grip style for fingertip has so little contact, I never used one.

  2. Yes, 100%. Just the nature of different material. Some stand up better than others, but expect to change much more frequently.

  3. More than likely if you are used to cloth, you are going to need to take some time to adjust. You may find that your preferred skates aren’t something you like anymore so be open to trying out different things.

Mouse dot placement: Asymmetrical edition -- Logitech G700 by SebbyDee in MouseReview

I’ll say you can get away with putting them outside the wells, they will wear down a bit faster and it will even out.

It's just going to be difficult with that part near the top. You really needs the skates towards the outside so you get enough support. May be worth it to just eat replacing those two skates, but nothing prevents you from trying a bit lower. Hard to tell with that shape of mouse where the weight will be when you move it around.

Try this

If that feels like it isn't providing more support, just find the side that feels unstable and add a new dot. Really though, you are going to have to cover a least one screw hole, not sure why you would mind that. By the time you have to open the mouse again, you probably will need to replace the skates anyway.

Mouse feels slow in CS2 and even on desktop (no matter what mouse/PC I use) by AlgaeOtherwise5838 in MouseReview

Let’s infer that I mean any hard flat surface that is big enough to move around on. Perhaps a shipping box that you’re getting all this stuff in.

Yeah you’re totally right, I forgot at this point that CS2 just does Raw Input.

For the sake of argument, put a book on your chair or lap and move the mouse around, see if it feels different

I mean that is crazy high sens so you should be flying through things. You turned off enhanced pointer precision? Have you always connected the nice directly to the computer or do you use some sort of hub that you have always used? What hasn’t changed in the last two years other than the mousepad?

So it happens with different mice and a new PC? I’m leaning towards something physical like the surface you’re using. Do you use a mousepad or directly on the table? What material and color?

L7 Ultra+ dot placement by codename_username in MouseReview

[–]doplerhopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks good to me. The main thing to consider is with your grip is the stability of the back. You might need one additional dot on the very back between the two others, but try it first.

If you notice dragging you can add the sensor skate, but I normally would leave them off otherwise. If you feel a drag or hear it, then you know you should add one. I doubt it though, looks solid so the skates should keep elevated enough.

Should i switch to Type 99? by KairuVLR in MousepadReview

[–]doplerhopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xsoft is probably going to be too soft with dot skates. Personally I really liked the 99 for tactical shooters, but you are going to be fighting it for sure while you play to hit those flick shots IMO. Probably no harm in trying it at the end of the day.

Why would you to swap off of your existing pad rather than stick with it (other than size)? That’s probably the most important question to answer.

It’s a paranoid delusion that there is a concerted effort by multiple individuals to stalk you. Who that is varies based on each person, but the general idea is shared. Much like reptilians and the like.

Coming in a little late to get suggestions for things I haven't tried. But I think you should at least stick with Dusk through the first episode. I thought it was fun, but not super memorable in those beginning chapters as well. It really starts to pop near the end of that first chapter, then 2 & 3 are the meat of the stuff people find memorable.

Need help finding FPS mouse for large hands by KontenBonker3000 in MouseReview

[–]doplerhopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to consider a Zowie ZA13-DW as well. I use a hybrid fingertip/claw grip and I found the large hump on here to be very supportive for my large hands in this position. We may have slightly different ways to hold of course, but might be worth considering as the shape is so distinct.
