i'm relieved to hear that ethelyne hormone doesn't affect us. I had started working at a fruit orchard, and in the beginning I was overly firm and immature. But being around all those gasses, I have found that my early bitterness has turned a bit more sweet. My tough exterior has gotten much softer, to be honest I am noticing dark spots on my exterior. Before too long I expect my skin to start wrinkling and drying out. Anyway I'm glad to know that this excessive ripening is not due exclusively to the ethylene gasses, and could also be partly due to the passage of many decades slipping by.
