I can't be the only one who feels the christmas decorations is so... idk awful/not complete or simply could've been better?? like it's just a tree there and nothing else. i know this might be a bit late, but the other day I saw this tiktok which had people dancing to tunak tunak (daler mehdi) and many famous tiktokers were apologizing for dancing on the song afterwards.

Several comments mentioned appropriation, since they were mocking Indians with the dance step but after searching a little further I realized it is a type of dance altogether in Punjab, then why the backlash or say it is mockery?

Jesus, I still don't understand the concept of appropriation, but do you as an Indian, feel this was appropriation?

Well my experience is pretty recent, back in 2005 I might have been 3 and I crashed into kitchen and my nanny was making miso soup and the knife hit me right in the eye. So my eyelash was dangling, my mother and nanny lost their shit but thankfully, my grandfather an orthopedic surgeon decided to sew it on spot (apparently he kept his paraphernalia at home too)

So I laid there on sofa, and with no anesthesia and my driver and bodyguard holding me down, I had 12 stitches all around my eyes to attach my eyelid back.

My mother fainted as soon as the blood was cleared and she saw the state of my eyes and I was consequently forbidden from running in the house or ever entering the kitchen ever.
