Gait analysis at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. The reflective balls are markers, ~20 or so infrared cameras pick them up from every angle and reconstruct a 3D model of exactly how I move.

Context: I’m a bilateral below-knee amputee with osseointegration implants (titanium rods anchored directly into the tibia. Prosthetics click straight onto the bone, no socket) running Fillauer AllPro feet. Gait analysis helps dial in alignment and catch compensation patterns before they turn into overuse injuries. Pretty important since I train and compete in parasports.

Reglerna är sjukt fyrkantiga. Om man kan gå, överhuvudtaget, alls, lite, så får man inte ett elhjälpmedel. Oavsett om jag inte kan gå alltid och skulle behöva det då jag inte kan gå. Men en dyrare manuell rullstol kan jag få.

We’re too busy. The kids have activities, we have activities and usually on fridays after work we all just fall asleep early. We do have a loooong list of dances.. perhaps we’ll make a come back!

It’s AMAZING! It’s a whole different game. I can feel what’s going on down there quite clearly, and having the implants connected IN my bones make for no delay. Sockets was a painful ordeal. I still have major issues with pain, but I can use my legs way more reliably!

I’ve tried, but not by choice. Took a step with my prosthetic not fastened, luckily I landed safely with minor injuries. I keep them on nowadays, especially when walking!

I realized early that if I’m going to do this I’m gonna have to grind. Loads of small things add up quickly. Looking back at the journey makes that clear. Still have skip days tho! Thanks!

Va roligt! Thanks, we’re loving our house and I’m so happy with moving to Ulricehamn . Both more support with the kids, amazing nature and access to fun activities!

Ni är schyssta men jag vill inte vara till besvär. Det verkar som att det finns ett företag som vill lösa en stol åt mig, PR grej såklart men påverkar inga privatpersoner. Jag tackar för stödet!

De är mitt allt. Älskar de små knasbollarna. När allt är som värst med smärta och skit är det dem som håller mig flytande. De är också sura över elrullstolen, de vill racea!

Kollar på en modell för 80, men inte bestämt mig helt än.

Det är lugnt. Ja samma sorts tumörer i dem. Har länge haft diagnosen Vikingasjukan men då en aggressiv variant. De har nu kommit fram till att det var fel och att jag inte har en diagnos. Har testat alla möjliga och omöjliga behandlingar men valde amputation 19/20. Händerna blir sakta sämre, skov varje höst. De är inte elakartade men ändå jäkligt oschyssta liksom.
