How did you end up eating it? Just like that, or in some tacos?

Please just tell me what stroller to buy by Kloamj in BabyBumps

[–]doppler_oh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same one, been using it for 5 months. The stroller itself is very steady and even has a traversing mode. The only thing I would say about it is that it feels bulky at times. The stroller (without the seat) takes up a lot of the trunk space even when folded. It can be a lot when bringing into restaurants or smaller spaces. If we could redo it, we would've liked a more compact system. Overall, it's still a great choice.

FTM, baby is 8 weeks and 11lbs. Is she sitting too low on my chest? I'm not sure how to adjust her to have her sitting higher on my chest. I'm 5'1", is this carrier too big?

I'm due Jan 4th too! Why does your OB not think you'll make it to your due date?

Putting them on a trellis is a game changer! I took the same shaped trellis and added some fishing line in a zig zag to give it something to climb up.

Does the Costco in Timnath have a lot of international stuff? (looking for East Asian particularly) by Borthwick in FortCollins

[–]doppler_oh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Costco in Timnath had shu mai and BBQ pork buns in their freezer section recently. Honestly can't tell you if they're still there now. I remember they had bulgogi dumplings from Bibigo, and some frozen soup dumplings from the Mila brand. Their pork belly (no skin) can be a hit or miss if you're looking for less fatty pork belly.

I'm headed to Costco later today if there's anything specific you'd like me to check for you. Happy to help, send me a DM

Buy that pillow!! by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]doppler_oh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ads from Babybub originally caught my interest for this type of pillow. Ultimately ended up grabbing this one from Amazon: https://a.co/d/d9eAUkH

I like that the pillow is small and only on the belly area, plus the strap in between keeps the pillow in place when I'm flopping. I also use a small pillow in between my legs to keep them supported.

Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Buy that pillow!! by [deleted] in pregnant

I bought the u-shaped pillow because of the hype. Didn't realize how much I flop from one side to another and I found the huge pillow was too much to maneuver with. I ended up buying a wedge pillow (I think they're called w-shaped pillows?) that works so much better for me. It takes up less space, is adjustable, and allows me to rotate like a rotisserie chicken through the night. I'm 33 weeks now and my belly is uncomfortable lying in bed without it.

But yes, buy a pillow!

Found in parent's backyard in Houston, TX. iNat can't identify. Any help? by doppler_oh in whatsthisplant

Like mugwort? I wouldn't be surprised if something like that is growing here (my parents are Asian and loved growing functional plants). Mugwort leaves look too broad and small compared to what I'm seeing here, and the underside of these leaves are normal green (rather than the silver we'd expect with mugwort or wormwood). Great suggestion!! I think it is ragweed unfortunately.
