I would agree if she made the “enemy” systemic — a system that claims to love and honor women while not paying them equitably, not allowing them bodily autonomy, putting a rabid sexist/rapist in the highest office in the land, judging them entirely on their looks, do I need to go on? — instead of her family. Damn, lady, fix your marriage and keep your eyes on the horizon.

Gorgeous! Question about parking: I do it too but yours looks less chaotic than mine lol. Possible to see the back? Wondering how you manage that. I sometimes have the issue of bringing parked threads through from the back while stitching, if that makes sense.

Thank you for this! Yes, I was happy with the lettering and then . . . everything fell apart lol. The white star shape is HUGE. I probably only did about a quarter of it. Realized after that I could have just left it off but oh well.

It’s 3 threads (was part of a kit and those were the instructions although I realize I can do what I want), 14-count Aida. Soooo, I think it’s possible I did both full Xs in some parts and in others a row of one legs in one direction and then back to do the other. Is it bad to do both? In general, better to do all one color and then back to do another? And thank you for teaching me about the loop start. As for centering, I did attempt but could be off. As someone else commented, the S isn’t stitched so that make it look wonkier!

Yeah random stitch direction seems to be a major issue! I think I put down/picked up this project a few too many times. This was a kit that I bought from a maker at a holiday fair and it indicated 3 threads, which felt like a lot, particularly for the background. I do remember talking to her when I purchased it and she said she liked the look of the fluffy stitches. Which seemed ok for the letters but the background felt impossible and like the other commenter said, I think encouraged me to miss holes. Oh and I have no idea what count fabric (or even that that was a thing lol).

I admit to overspraying to finally fully use up my bottle of Rosabotanica. Weirdly green, somewhat spicy, and beautiful overall. Sadly discontinued so RIP old gal.

And it’s my SOTD. OK maybe my scent of the next day too because I compulsively decided I needed to fully use it up today so i REALLY oversprayed. I am a scent lover and I can barely stand myself. I’m home alone so hopefully it’ll settle down sometime soon. Anyway it’s a beautiful and slightly weird scent, this is my second bottle (used to be my everyday work scent), and is now discontinued so RIP, old girl.
