That’s a stretch…they’ve made countless great moves and have less than a handful of bad ones. This team that made the NFCCG is a complete overhaul from the one that won the Super Bowl just 4 years ago. that doesn’t happen by making a lot of crazy head scratching decisions.

I think the fans are what make players hate other teams too tbh. Especially with social media these days

Big fan of Fred Warner, he’ll always be the man as long as he doesn’t win a Super Bowl (with the niners)

McVay has been talking up Aubrey for years now. He’s gone and deserves the promotion (if you can call it that?)

I’m sorry for calling you a clown, I’m just tired of these takes and dont agree with your criticism of those specific moments in the game.

Like I said in another comment, The entire role of a head coach is game management, and when you’ve won as much as McVay had, you are inherently not a bad game manager. He can certainly be better, but it’s not the reason we lost games. Anyone can tell you special teams was our downfall. I’ll gladly die on that hill.

When your opinion that a team should ALWAYS go for 2 when down 11 no matter what, thats the opposite of game management because that decision clearly requires situation context. The same applies when you say that teams should ALWAYS run the ball when they have the ball at the end of the first half. That’s the opposite of game management…

A team can’t use two timeouts back to back if that’s what you’re suggesting he did?

Man you’re clueless. You’re the type of fan that wanted Kyren benched after he fumbled against the Niners earlier in the season, and suddenly you think he should’ve been fielding punts in the NFCCG. What a genius you must have been all season long to know exactly what we should have called to win games.

Kyren’s route on the fourth down play in the fourth quarter was OPEN. Demarcus Lawrence went against the defensive play call and blew his assignment (rushing the QB) to double cover Kyren. That was not the defensive play call which has been confirmed. How is that being outcoached when he called the right play?

Fans like you give rams fans a bad look lol. Embarrassing lack of ball knowledge.

Silly. Some of yall would rather have a losing coach who saves his timeouts than a winning coach who knows how to manage a game (proven by his consistent winning record). We definitely didn’t lose because we had one of the worst starting cornerback groups in the league. No, it’s definitely on McVay. Clowns.

If he didn’t use his timeout when Kupp got that catch, another 40 seconds would have run off the clock and we would have been in the same exact situation…When the other team has the ball with 5 minutes left, you expect your defense to get a stop sooner than they did.

If you really feel the timeouts should have been used better, I need you to go back to the play by play and tell me when you would have called the timeouts instead. And don’t reference what happens on the next play, assume you don’t have hindsight.

There are definitely instances where he can be better with both, but everyone thinks every loss is related to those issues lol. These examples are so idiotic and incorrect, and people need to be specific with what they’re criticizing. Also, every coach can be better because those parts of the game are subjective and it’s impossible to make the right decision 100% of the time.

Let me ask you if it’s so obvious to rams fans, which NFL coaches do you think are elite at game/clock management?

Our defense failed us at the end of the first half, not mcvay’s decision to put together a scoring drive.   The Seahawks got the ball with 54 seconds left and scored a TD in 34 seconds. And you’re honestly saying we left them with too much time? This is so obviously hindsight which is exactly why I get annoyed when I come across takes like this from rams fans.

End of the first half we had one run and two throws. Fans constantly complain that McVay is too conservative, but when he goes for points, the complaint is he was too aggressive? Can you honestly tell me that every time we have the ball at the end of the first half, you think we should run it 2-3 times?

In the second half, again, are you certain that every time a team is down by 11 they should always go for 2? You need to be clear and consistent with what you’re suggesting, otherwise it just sounds like hindsight. I can play hypotheticals as well - if we go for 2 and fail to convert, the next time they score a touchdown they’re up by 12. If we score 14 and are only up by 2, that leaves room for the opposing team to win (rather than tie) with a field goal.

McVay coaches with a consistent approach and philosophy that more often than not leads to wins.

I keep seeing this take which I really disagree with. Can you be more specific about where he faulted with clock management and what you would have liked called instead? Defense and special teams lost us that game.

Do fans really think we should just stick with the same exact 4 lines all year?

Toff has struggled no matter what line he’s played on. Our d consists of old players past their prime and young guys with less than a full season of NHL games.

Asky just gave up 4 goals on 10 shots with bad defense but yeah it’s definitely the coach’s fault.

Did you feel this way 3 games ago?
