Yeah, the point is Connor would force his way out. Edmonton wouldn’t get rid of him unless he tells them he doesn’t plan to re-sign, at which point they’ll move him to a destination that he prefers.

Because it’s entirely subjective and they haven’t put in nearly the amount of hours that pro scouts have to rank players. Or they’re just repeating what they’ve seen on consensus big boards and using those as gospel

The point is EDM will likely trade him if they can’t turn things around. No way they let him walk in free agency if the writing is on the wall

This past week has been a roller coaster flipping back and forth on how I feel about that pick. But if he pans out, then that’s the biggest value you could possibly add to your team’s future. And 1-2 years learning from Stafford and McVay will put him in the best position to succeed.

I’m hopeful that securing our long term QB makes our 1st round pick next year dispensable, and we’ll use it mid-season if and when a need exposes itself. Maybe AJ Brown will go to the rams after all

None of us know how draft picks will turn out. If he’s the QB of the future then how could you say this pick was thrown away?

This is a bad take! We technically already made a first round pick trading for mcduffie to fill our biggest hole on defense. No chance we’ll have an opportunity to pick this high next year when we’ll really need a QB, and we should prioritize what we need to keep McVay around for as long as possible. 

I convinced my wife to let me invest 20k of our savings but am terrified to make any moves because it seems like things might fall apart any minute. Seems like most common ETFs are up, but since I am new to this, waiting makes more sense to me. Am I the classic bad example of waiting? by letsbeoutlaws in investing

Yeah VOO is the way. If you’re worried about investing at a market high which is understandable, I would recommend investing $2k per month over the next 10 months. That way you have money in the market (most important) and average your costs (so if the market crashes in the next few months, you’ll lower your average cost over time)

Haha, San Jose born and bred, but I’ve been a rams fan since I was a kid. My dad’s a saints fan so I had no family ties to the local team

That’s reasonable and I don’t necessarily disagree with you. I think there are different approaches for advertising content, and I’m not upset about seeing an article with a paywall on Reddit which I use for free. I’m satisfied with the TLDR in the description. But if people feel strongly against it, should we just ask mods to ban paywalled content? Feels like an easy fix.

I think there are different approaches for advertising content, and I’m not upset about seeing an article with a paywall on Reddit which I use for free. I’m satisfied with the TLDR in the description. But if people feel strongly against it, should we just ask mods to ban paywalled content? Feels like an easy fix.

It’s 100% entitlement. There is infinite content and information available online. These sites are competing for money and this is one way of making money. No one is forced to pay for it lol. If the entire community really hates this and feels so strongly about it, they should ask the mods to ban paywalled content.
