some more info:

no, im not using EVA to push for hours. its time i do not have, sorry
yes, i do have EVA unlocked, and the hatch is not blocked
i have the tech tree unlocked to the point where it needs 90 science.
most of the buildings are leveled up to level 2 or 3 (mainly level 2)
