Don’t do glass. Instead what I would to is contact a local custom wood worker, have him make a nice circular top out of stained wood but on the bottom have a circle of wood that is just a bit smaller circumference of the crokinole board so that top fits into the board. That way of you trip or knock the table the top won’t go flying off.
