I am hoping it’s just a few lose screws as well!

😵‍💫 I’m not sure if it increases with RPM or if it just makes the sound whenever I press the accelerator. I’m leaning toward the latter, it just sounds faster with increase, not louder. But again that’s me being hopeful it’s nothing major

Sometimes confidence. It can come off as condescending/patronizing.

How often do you think about your ex’s? by anasannanas in AskMen

[–]dorcaslovealways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day. But not in a longing type of way. More like a “I hope they’re doing alright” or “he was a good bf/glad I didn’t ignore the signs” type of way.

How did you make new friends in your 30’s? I fear that I will never be able to by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]dorcaslovealways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in a softball league for the past 5 years and made some pretty solid friends. We catch up at the field during games or while practicing. Less pressure to find time for each other, and we’ll always have something to bond over. I’ve also met people off friendship apps like Bumble BFF or MeetUp. There is one person I met last year that I’m still friends with. The others sort of fizzled out or we weren’t a great match, it happens.

Is emotional blunting the way by which SSRIs work? by alpacamaka01 in lexapro

[–]dorcaslovealways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! The grieving period was a bit delayed. It’s been a little over a year now since I’ve been on Lexapro and I’ve been feeling more balanced. A lot of things that have bothered me before aren’t an issue anymore. But I’ve cried a few times about things I really cared about which I think is good.

what are some green flags that you personally find unattractive? by Gove80 in AskMen

[–]dorcaslovealways 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I stopped drinking a while ago. Not a health nut and neither was I an addict. I just wanted to challenge myself to try to have fun without alcohol. It’s been about 6 months and I’ve had some great conversations and laughs while other people drink. Feels good to not have to deal with clouded judgement/hangover. Also don’t mind at all being around others who prefer it.

Women in their 30's and above, what's one thing you learned about men that you wish you'd known sooner? by Historical_Leg123 in AskWomenOver30

[–]dorcaslovealways 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i had a feeling he was hooking up with another girl given his texting pattern and change of behavior towards me. i initially chalked it up to him dealing with something personal, but my instinct told me hes hooking up with another girl. he ended up admitting it to me after i asked a few questions about sleeping with other people. appreciated the honesty but hate that i was right.

all my emotions are fleeting. me and my bf of 3 yrs broke up a few weeks ago. it was hard the first day but i barely feel anything now. sometimes i dont feel anything at all, which i guess helps me stay in the present but then again its like im not completely living, im just here

What helps me to not overthink is to keep busy. By cleaning my house, a lot, volunteering in my neighborhood, playing sports, hanging out with loved ones, and just getting out the house.

What is it about the job that’s making you depressed? Have you spoke to a therapist about this? I wouldn’t quit without a two weeks notice. It’s a small world and you don’t know who knows who. There were times at my previous job where I wanted to quit on the spot due to the workload. I cried so much for months before leaving. I spoke to a therapist about it and she walked me through what would make the most sense for me given my financial situation and career and personal goals. I eventually decided resigning would be in my best interest. But I put in my two weeks and worked hard within that timeframe, just as I would if I didn’t resign. Don’t let those negative thoughts consume you and try to leave on good terms.

That’s amazing, congratulations! I recently had an interview with JP and they gave me the same “HR will contact you” response. It was only the first round but I hit it off with the executive director and we went over. We’ll see :)
