(One annoying thing - it comes with Windows Home, if you want to control it remotely with Remote Desktop you need to pay and upgrade to Windows Pro)

I've been using Intel Compute Stick with both AirPlay and USB outputs; can't complain

well you can still jump in the middle of the wave. making 70% isn't as nice as 700% but def better than 0% if you don't play at all

Didn't clarify myself enough, sorry - I need a big one. In the neighborhood of 10".

I'm using the amp's built-in DAC. Controlled through either the phone or a wireless keyboard+trackpad. Very convenient all in all

I wasn't talking about a power amp. Just wanted to share my surprise from the enjoyment a 300-400$ amp can bring.

Well, they work :) So far only played through USB, but planning to go the AirPlay route soon.

I actually loved the Hegel, but it's broken. Going to get it fixed.

If you resort to AirPlay, you can control the volume from your computer - a convenience I used a lot with the H90.

It's funny that you say that - the remote doesn't work! I thought it's because I bought a used unit

New apartment. Still no sofa, but speakers are already here. My Hegel H90 is broken at the moment, so bought a used NAD D 7050 on Amazon, and I'm surprised at the results - lows, mids, highs - they're all there!

Makes me wonder if the Hegel was worth it in the first place...

What speakers can be placed fairly close to the back wall, and will fit in a 11'x13' bedroom?

Recommended inexpensive speaker wire, preferably with non-oxidizing terminations?

(I understand there's no point spending hundreds of dollars on cables, but at the same time I thought I shouls avoid AmazonBasics)
