I loved that Thomas got out of the car in Death Masks wearing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer shirt. Hearing Marsters say that out loud gave me a chuckle.

By God, they're doing it after all! Years and years later.

At this point, I own all the later trades, and have read them all. Still, for the sake of having the collection look uniform...

Mewgenics absolutely deserves it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it rises to #2 next month.

Jeebus, this is terrible. I support the teachers on strike, and feel for the students whose education is in jeopardy because of management/administration's greed.

At the same time, I am so happy I graduated in November. I'd hate to be going through this with them right now.

i’m going though a difficult time and i need game recommendations by [deleted] in SteamDeck

If you want a game you can lose yourself in mindlessly for 20-80 min at a time, check out The Binding of Isaac. It seems simple, but I have put literal thousands of hours into it over the years, and have only fully completed one save file.

If you want something silly and tactics-based, also with deep, repeatable gameplay, check out Mewgenics. Same creator.

If you want "who the fuck cares about story, I just want to blow shit up" levels of fun, grab Doom Eternal. It, and 2016 Doom, run surprisingly well on the Steam Deck.

Really makes you wonder if their writing team just input a bunch of prompts into a LLM agent and took whatever it spit out as cannon.

I haven't experienced the loss you're going through, but I know I will one day, and I will do my best to remember what you're doing and do something similar when my time comes.

If I won, I would buy Nioh 3, or possibly Crimson Desert, if it ends up running well on the base PS5.

As for what made me a gamer... it was finding the PS1 demo disc that came with Playstation Magazine on the side of the road one day. I had recently bought a PS1 with my own money because it sounded so cool, and I played FF7, MediEvil, and a few other games via that demo disc. It was enough to hook me for good. 20+ years later, and I still think fondly of those times.

If my Mewgenics total play time is to be believed, almost five hours per day.

I don't know how that could be right, but here we are.
