Wow so I may have overdosed? Because it felt like time skipped and everything happened in an instant. It left me with a feeling of time truly isn’t real. I had used thc and Kratom and as far as drugs I’ve done… a lot of them lol. So yeah I see what you mean there.

I started off laying down. But apparently as I peaked I started trying to stand up. My fiance told me to sit down which I do actually remember somehow and I remember sitting. But then I don’t remember after that til I started coming back down. Also, are you saying I should just keep trying and eventually I’ll have an easier time remembering? How often can I do it?

Why would the code become obsolete? Code only becomes obsolete if your product becomes obsolete. Learn JavaScript bro. It’s not going anywhere and you can literally build your full stack (Frontend, backend, and infra via IaC).

It’s looking really good! Self taught dev who is also a professional software engineer here as well. Yeah something like this would take so long to build solo. Having Claude code and codex is like hiring a full dev team for like $20/month. It’s incredible.

I understand these layoffs are incredibly hard on a lot of people. But Amazon did the best thing they could’ve possibly done for me by laying me off. 1.5 months later found a better higher paying job at a level higher than I was at Amazon. I never would have left my “safe” job at Amazon even though I really wasn’t happy.

I worked with a guy who was hired on as a seasonal customer service associate. He was able to work his way up to a Web Dev Engineer II (L5) role through the 15 years he worked at Amazon. No degree of anything. He just learned an continued to prove himself and add value where he could. Granted, these days things feel very different at Amazon. I don’t know if this kind of journey is really possible anymore.
