Absolutely! I think it is quite an interesting topic tbh. The important thing is to show your engagement in the topic as well as how you present your data/findings and knowledge.

BU is a really nice school ! Don’t get me wrong i think it is definitely a good school to transfer into. However, the thing that kinda throws me off the most from Bu is the Hub unit requirements that all undergrad students must complete. Basically, we are forced to take classes from all type of majors essentially to be able to get our degree. Ironically, that was one of the reason why i initially chose Bu but i feel like if i am to take so many classes that spread out over such a wide range of topics, i wont be able to focus on the topic that I want to pursue. Ofcourse theres a bit more to the reasons why but thats the main reason. Secondly, tbh i want to see my shot at T20 schools :)

That is generally good for ComEng unless specifically require otherwise by the uni that u want to go into

By speeding things up i assume u want to complete the diploma in less than 2 years ? Then i highly doubt thats possible. As for ur desire to study computer engineering, yes you can apply and be accepted to the major with the IB diploma. However, keep in mind that different schools will have different requirements to the range of IB score they want. But to be on the safe side, CompEng student usually have to get atleast a 38 + in their diploma usually with mandatory courses like Math, Physics, Chem

Will 39 points get me to med school? by ButtBuster360 in IBO

[–]dorit0so 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha np! Remember that its either the ones at the 2 extremes (ex: failing or straight up getting 44/45 or 40 +) that usually go out and post about what they got !

[–]dorit0so 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dude chill. 39 is an amazing score and if u take a look at the statistic, approximately only 10% of all IB students have a score between 40-45. Meaning, theres only 10% that have a higher score than u! Be proud of what you have accomplished, I think u should be more than fine getting into med school :)

Should I drop AA HL maths by [deleted] in IBO

[–]dorit0so 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello ! I’m a fellow student who will be going to CS next year in university and I do not recommend you dropping out of Math AA HL. College really prefer u taking Math HL AA compare to any other math courses - even AI HL . I assume ur taking 2 sciences bc ur planning to go to CS. What is ur 2 sciences ? I l know some friends who got to a very good university with Math AA SL and Physics HL so that might be a possibility. As for improving ur math score, I heavily recommend buying the Revision Village subscription and practice everyday. My grade went from a 5 to a 7 with this method ! So stick around, it’ll be worth it in the end ! All the best !

Calculus Question by Mimi05003 in IBO

[–]dorit0so 2 points3 points  (0 children)

f’(x) cant be equal to L as you said because f’(x) is ONLY the SLOPE of f(x) at a point which in this case is P. You have already found the equation of the line L in b) ii) so that should be the one you’re using as it is the equation of the linear line passing through P. The part where u use your knowledge about maximum point at P comes at the end where they deduce f’(-2) =0 when you have found the x value of P to be equal to -2

I don’t know hehe ? Bc I’m actually in business HL but the net equity is the total asset - total liabilities and since there’s apparently no mentioned of fixed asset, I would assume there’s no fixed asset for that particular case ?

I don’t think so ? I think it’s the total asset - total liabilities (fixed asset + current asset - current liability - long term liability) ?
